hell any game that runs easy on someone pc and has good gameplay will always be there. look at cs....older than sof2, using by far an older engine, number1 game in teh world though. any machine go run that oui, same with starcraft. what does this tell you? when the average mc go to buy farcry in the store and pop it in his pc and realise the game moving in bullet time mode, he go be asking for a refund. games requiring too much power aint go make big quick. performance is key these days. and this is why more leaving pc and going to console, you doh hadda worry about performance, buy any game and slap it in

true .. counter strike is THE best multiplayer simulation game to date... sof2 can't touch it.

HL2 will come with a utility that will optimize the settings for your system, so no worries about tweaking etc.

HL2 is supposed to be comming out this month... so start saving up.. or you can buy it from trini at 1/10th price...

 i said either valve is STICKING ie. they did not finish the game therefore they make up another hacker excuse , or they actually got hacked again and there MIGHT be a half life 2 beta on the net..

 half life2 isn't out yet , the leaked beta isn't on kazaa or imesh, on E-donkey there are 300 leaked betas each more than 1 GB in size.

hl2 go own doom3 in terms of sales. hl2 go own doom3 in terms of story. real men play cs online, real plenty of them played hl1 first. hl2 out so they go want it, may not even care about gameplay or graphics, they go just see it in the store and buy it.

i for one go be playing both and loving them both and marrying both. not horning !
doom3 is more inhouse gameplay, hl2 is more outdoors. i like meh outdoors a bit more and hl2 seems more open...bigger environment.  but is ID, single player aint really there thing. carmack does just use them games as a tech demo oui, to show what the engines can do. watch an see in the future which engine go be in most games.
