Got the Q6600 in this afternoon, it gave a bucketload of trouble but nothing i wasn't expecting, will run a stress test overnight but everything should be fine.

Did you o/c this by any chance?

no never overclockerd & what problems did you have?

It kept locking up at POST and restarting, so i reseated it. Then i was getting "power error" beeps which were solved by multiple RAM reseats(naturally). It decided to start after that as it had grown bored of its entertainment.

Nothing to worry about and like i said, will run a stress test later but i dont expect any problems.

Only really took long cos of the cooler and the reseating of various components.

EDIT: Completed 6 hours of P95, 0 errors. No temp concerns

Still eyeing that 6870 myself, don't have the cooling power for that 295, but hasn't been updated, i suspect end of the month.

System runs cool enough as it is, but the heat generated from my 4850 doesn't compare to what would be generated from that 295.

Should know by Wednesday. If the person doesn't take them first dibs goes to Hard O/C.

They are both still on hold though, i'm looking for a comparison chart for the cards i'm looking at, not only performance but heat and power draw too if i get the exact ones i'm looking at i'll link it back here.
