What I've played so far has me awestruck.

One thing I noticed with Borderlands 2 that was a source of constant irritation, is a texture pop in effect.

That is, you open a container and for a second....the textures of the objects (guns, ammo, etc...) look like blurry mess.

Something you'd see in a Nintendo 64 game.

It sharpens up soon enough but for a moment it detracts from the HD graphics and overall experience of the game. This jarring low res texture nonsense in a modern 2012 released games has got to go.

No more texture pop in...or "slow streaming textures" as others call it.

Rage had d same issue, everyone was cussing it, interested to see how men do react to borderlands 2 having it lol. Not nearly as hostile I bet.

Great thong about PC doh, Xbox and ps3 have the same texture popin issues, we can easily fix it :-), PC Rules.

I just experienced my first taste of robotic combat in borderlands 2, OMG.

This, Game, is , CRAZY. I love d AI, i love d level design. previous borderlands was a more flat combat stage.

This time, it have men on d roof, men below, men all over. Sometimes u standing shooting and life just dropping and dont know how, time u spin round is because ah man come out of one of d unaccessible doors and resting shots in yuh back.

Combat is intense, guns are varied and much more unique, leveling is different and awesome.
This, game, just ROCKS!

I've heard on the grapevine that a certain man liken Borderlands 2 to Serious Sam, (cough, wyatt, cough, cough).
HELL NO. This game is no serious sam. nor is it borderlands 1, its a different beast entirely.

They take everything good about part 1, made it better, polish it, dine it, wine it. And produce a truely spectacular experience thus far. And i'm only level 13. Cant wait to see what next!

Lovin' every minute of it so far.

mez was asking what the game was like and I said Serious Sam (which is a compliment)

Serious Sam was probably the first PC co-op shooter I played with my son and we loved it, through and through. Beat it from start to finish. Probably more than once which is RARE for me.

I was also careful not to oversell the game. Last thing we want is the man jump in with overly high expectations. Better for him to be pleasantly surprised when he plays it for the first time.

Granted, serious sam 1 and 2nd encounter was EPIC back in d day. i play every bit of it too. But the formula is SOOOO dated. (serious sam 3), i try to play it based on d memory of d oringal, but it just wasnt working. So to liken a modern epic game to that now eh make sense. Especially when d man is not a serious sam fan. I who is a serious sam fan, mite think twice to play borderlands 2 if i hear its like sam. Because d sam formular juss eh cutting it again.

And i doh think it possible to oversell this game. Is like saying you overselling Starcraft 2 or Diablo 3. It just cant happen.
Same applies to borderlands 2.Yuh like shooters, yuh like loot, yuh going to like this. Period.

borderlands 2 is a current day epic co-op shooter

on that grounds it is a safe comparison

Why do you say mez is not a fan of serious sam? did he say so himself?

HonestFang just jump in my game with his level 24 self. Lihixxx immc. All the enemies got so ridiculously hard. lol

Died like 15 times clearing a mission.

I could imagine what would happen if zerk jump in with his 30+ character

When mez buy borderlands 2 and pung it, i go take it all back. Till den, epic fail on deterring a potential borderlander.

Well the problem will be getting Mez off of Dota 2.

That is the real issue. I've been struggling between Dota 2 and Borderlands 2 myself....hence my low level compared to all the others who also pre-ordered the game. lol

Saw a guy on level 50 today.

Guys there is an exploit on the Xbox 360 platfrom that is permanently killing off your character, i'm trying to post the url but the forum is giving some trouble

I know there was one not too long ago that was doing the same on all platforms. It was being spread through co-op play by infected players. There is a temporary fix for it though.
