Some phenomenal news in the MOBA space.

Dota 2 is set to start off with a bang. A US$1,000,000.00 first prize bang. (Count those zeroes again)

Doesn't get much bigger than that. Last I recall such a ludicrous purse, was as a promo event for the cult classic but ill fated Advent Rising trilogy.

There is no doubt that Valve will succeed where Majesco failed. There gaming pedigree is beyond question. The recent success from the re-launch of Team Fortress 2 eradicating any concerns around the validity of the free2play model.

The "coming out party" tournament for Dota 2 is featuring the best dota clans in the world.

Can't wait.
