Is Dust a PS3 exclusive?

Not sure, but that one DEFINITELY on my 'must buy' list.
I rather play that than Halo ANY DAY!!!

Starhawk is a solid 'maybe'.

Other must-buys include:

Uncharted 3
Infamous 2
Street Fighter X Tekken (on PS3)


All in all, I'm impressed with Sony's showing.  The PSVita is a solid piece of kit,
but so far, I haven't seen anything particularly compelling that would make me
really want one...yet.

Can't compare this briefing to Microsoft's as I now started watching it, but GG Sony.

First I thought was a farcry-esque game using the same engine and whatever but then I started adding everything together. Island+ destroyed boat+ missing girlfriend+ open world gameplay.  I jizzed, Ubi caught me off guard with that also all "Farcry3" info previously said it was still in Africa. Guess that was a deliberate misinformation campaign? xD

From Sony I like the new handheld tho that touchscreen for uncharted is kinda gimmicky and Uncharted 3

OMG, Assasin Creed 3 looking BAD!, i never play 1 and 2, but Revelations looking SICK BOY JUH! Up there with Tomb Raider.

I wasn't that impressed with the Revelations demo to be honest. I'll still play the hell outta it when it comes out, but looks like more of the same. Tomb Raider on the other hand had meh bawlin'. Dem graphics sweeeet!

I am very sorry, but so far, I am disappointed by what Microsoft has on offer here.

I'm not a fan of Halo, Forza, Fable, or even Gears (oh NOES!!!111!11)
It's pretty obvious what core subset is being catered to here.

The ONE standout was Tomb Raider.  THAT one surprised and excited me.

Where's the innovation?

...and I'm not interested in Kinect (yet), so all that content/functionality is lost on me.
I actually laughed at the end of that Star Wars Kinect demo.  The biggest reaction
from the audience was BEFORE the demo.

As much as myself and Messiaah butt heads sometimes, I'm really inclined to agree with
some of his opinions concerning Kinect.  From last year to now, I'm not seeing the
'huge leap' in the quality of content and gameplay that Microsoft promised.
Oh, there are titles that the kids will eat right up, like the Disney game, and the
*ROFL* Sesame Street game, but if I were a Kinect owner that 'jumped in' with both
feet and bought one last year...I'm afraid I would be pissed right now.

(...and I laughed uncontrollably at the 'object capture' demo, because I KNOW that some twisted perv out there WILL scan een he piggy to Xbox Live.

On the flip side, you can see the improvements in the quality of PS Move-related
content/gameplay between last year and this year.

...and then there's the PSVita.

I aint gonna lie, despite the PSN troubles, Sony hit em HARD this year.


I'll take in the EA and Ubisoft press briefs early tomorrow morning.

thought i was the only one, was rather ashamed to call myself a gamer watching that cookie monster demo , i was like "M$ cant be serious......allya demoing this on allya conference? save da for a booth in d back"

EDIT: tomb raider looked really good, a lil too much on the moaning/screaming in d demo.......ppl outside might think is a porno yuh watchin lol. graphics wise looks good. HOPEFULLY it will bring the series back to what it was

That dude was actually Tim Schafer, who made the game Brutal Legend, with Jack Black in 2009.

Kinda sorry to see what he's been reduced to making, and I don't know what Microsoft
was thinking when they decided to show a room full of hardback gaming journalists that
sorry excuse for a 'game'.

And i thought d dude jumping and ducking during d star wars demo was funny enough, then i saw d football guys with maden, then i saw cookie monster with a fully grown man on stage, at that point i din think they coulda get much worse.

And after i finish laguhing my ass off, i was pissed at microsoft for that rubbish of a e3 showing. (save d gears, only xbox exclusive i care bout, d lara not even exclusive, everything else could bun, including halo 4).

*Sigh* - As far as gaming is concerned, you guys are obviously thinking only one way...hardcore. Yes we are all grown ups and expect more hardcore gaming, but as far as Kinect is concerned and Microsoft's approach this year at E3, its blatantly obvious that they were focused on more casual games for the younger crowd to attract and keep parents of kids of those age groups. Thinking ahead, they are basically setting up the new generation of kids to associate gaming with the Microsoft brand.

This leads me to next year's E3, as that little teaser at the end with Halo 4 and the rumors of the next Gen Xbox kits already in the hands of devs, I would bet that Microsoft is positioning itself to reveal the next Console at E3 2012 with a kick ass line-up of exclusives starting the holiday season of 2012, leading the way with Halo 4.

Why is it that you guys focus on the now, instead of looking at the big picture. Obviously Microsoft is preparing to move on from the Xbox 360 and leaving it to the kiddies and Kinect. The Next Gen Xbox is what makes more sense for the Hardcore crowd seeing as the hardware should be far superior.

D problem is redlum, no kiddies or non-hardcore parents going to be watching E3 to begin with, that kind of thing have no place on d stage of an E3 press conference, leave that for tv adds. A room full of gaming journalist and u will show cookiemonster?

And if u watched d game trailers stream, after d conference, most of d host said d same thing. They din come to E3 to see that crap basically.

If xbox is meant for kiddies as u say, and d next gen is for hardcore, i ent see nothing! about next gen hardware from ms, so they effectively loss me to d PS3/PC. ANd nintendo trying to do d opposite this year, get back they hardcore. Whiles MS trying play cetchup in d casual market, nintendo done marph that and moving hardcore. MS about 2-3 steps behind.

Ah well, all in all, MS e3 was still hilarious. At least i got a good laugh.

I think the Kinect is doing a great job at appealing to the casual audiences but you are right about one thing Messiah. The target Kinect audience does not watch or even know what E3 is. MS could have just run through a trailer of Kinect titles and spent more time on other stuff.

I understand your point Messiah, but you missing my point. Microsoft obviously didn't care about E3 this year in regards to the "hardcore" crowd. Want to know why? The Hardcore Crowd already is anticipating Gears of War 3, Halo: CE Anniversary and MW3...Those 3 titles ALONE will occupy the next years worth of "hardcore" gaming time on the Xbox 360. So you see, regardless of the lackluster list of titles this year at E3, Microsoft is already shifting into next gear for E3 2012. Where Nintendo would have lost some steam after the New Console reveal this year, and Sony will not have the PS4 ready for next years E3, at least there hasn't been any talk much of dev kits for the PS4 being distributed yet. So, as far as I see it, Microsoft is playing the sleeping giant this year. Their fan base is already in play for Gears 3 and Halo, plus whatever cross platform games are due out between now and next year. So they are not worried about losing any hardcore gamers. They are attracting NEW casual and kid gamers and family oriented crowds to Kinect. Yes, they showed all the Kinect games to the gaming journalists, but it will also be aired on news networks across the country and I guarantee TV ads will be soon to follow. Come Christmas time, what parent going to not want Elmo on their TV for their little ones to play with? Hmm?

Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from Micro$oft this year. The Hardcore gamers on 360 already have their line-up set for the rest of this year into next year, and I expect a helluva show E3 2012 with the new Console reveal. Their strategy is obviously to focus on the Next Gen Xbox and beyond. They have established themselves to the hardcore gamers with the Gears and Halo franchise, still catering to the cross platform games, now building the casual gaming following with Kinect, which should put them in a position to integrate the Kinect to the Next gen system and guarantee a great 6 years from 2012 onwards. With Xbox Live already being the online monster that it is, there should only be better things to come next year.

From this trailer, it definitely looks like a Halo clone. (its an old trailer though, 2 years ago)

The E3 2011 trailer looks a little more promising but can't say that I'm sold yet.

Will keep an eye on it.

1 exclusive xbox title i can look forward to this year, gears 3? (a halo remake is just retarded at this point, and halo 4 is quite next year). I watched e3 ms in d hopes of seeing something to make me want to get an xbox, i actualy saw the oposite, now self i dont want no xbox.

1 Game, *yawns*, wake me up when MS gets serious.

Infamous 2, Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, Starhawk, Dust, HERE I COME!

And on d PC:  B3, Farcry 3, Assasin Creed, ME3, Tomb Raider, Skyrim, Rage, Prey 2.

I see no reason what so ever to get an xbox for myself at this point other than gears, whihc as good as it looks, is not enough for me to shell out that $$ for 1 game. Is not exactly Zelda where ill buy any nintendo system to play that alone.

So when d "sleeping giant" awakes, so will i *yawn*.

Until then, level PS3/PC gaming.
