Yes it is my rig. Reason for sale was that I wanted to use this as my main workstation since I built another PC, but I ended up getting a PowerMac G5. This was my first gaming right before the black soprano I have now

Yal eh realize Parallels 6 runs a great deal of FPS games at near native speeds, only thing is it only support DX9, but then most games do.... so the Mac is quite viable.

Thats interesting. I dont think many people buy Macs with the intention of doing a lot of gaming on it. Those users will more fall into the casual gamers segment which is where Steam has them covered nicely.

For choice of hardware, straightforwardness (yea im making that a word) and cost, pc is the clear winner.

Still, its always nice to have the choice.

No, but if you already OWN a Mac workstation (which he undoubtedly uses for WORK) and have a decent GPU (4870 or better) you CAN. It'd be cheaper than buying separate PC hardware no?

Alright guys, lol. The mac is there for my mainstream work stuff (web browsing, photoshop, dreamweaver, torrents etc). These are the Mac specs as follows:

Power PC G5 (Power PC 970 v 2.2)
ATI Radeon X850 XT
8GB DDR PC3200 RAM


For even light RPG gaming, it holds strong.
