Found another great one.

Android manager WiFi.

As the name suggests, it allows you to access files on your Android device via wifi.
You must install the PC app as well as the Android app for this to work well.

Installation tutorial here.

I use SwiFTP (http://www.appbrain.com/app/swiftp-ftp-server/org.swiftp) for transferring files to and from my phone - any FTP client can connect, even plain ol Windows Explorer.

Tell im nah.  Sometimes you just don't want to be physically tethered to a USB port
when transferring small files.

Bluetooth? How quaint :P

Don't have Bluetooth in my work PC anyway, and that's where I do most of my file transfers - open SwiFTP, press Start button, open up Windows Explorer, go to shortcut for FTP site, authenticate, drag/drop files, stop SwiFTP, done. And d speeds right, so me eh sittin watchin no flickin progress bar whole day.

As fuh USB cables, no tanks - wireless or buss.

Anyone tried Tasker? it is a phone task scheduler on steroids yes. I've been using it to go into car mode automatically when I put my phone on my car "hands free" charger lol.

http://tasker.dinglisch.net/

What Is It ?

Tasker is an application for Android which performs Tasks (sets of Actions) based on Contexts (application, time, date, location, event, gesture) in user-defined Profiles, or in clickable or timer home screen widgets.
This simple concept profoundly extends your control of your Android device and it's capabilities, without the need for 'root' or a special home screen.

Tasker came 3rd in the Productivity category in the Android Developer Challenge 2.

Take the tour to find out more! Questions ? Try the forum.

Usage Examples

Here are only some of the things you could do with Tasker, it's real power is the flexibility to combine contexts and tasks however you wish.
passcode-lock sensitive applications (e.g. for child safety)
change phone settings by
application: long screen timeout in a book reader
time: screen brightness lower in the evening
location: ringer volume high at the office, turn off ke yguard at home
wake up with a random song from your music collection
Text-to-speech; read out loud: incoming SMS/ phone number, WiFi/Bluetooth status, when it's time for an appointment, when the battery is low etc etc (Android OS 1.6+ only)
launch a music application when your music SD card is inserted, otherwise a file browser
start the day with a particular application showing
change all your home icons and wallpaper every day, or in particular locations
turn the phone upside down to return to the home screen, tilt 90 degrees to the left and back to toggle speakerphone during a call
create a Home widget to
toggle bluetooth/wifi on/off
launch wireless settings dialog
show a menu of tasks to choose
send an emergency SMS with your GPS location
remap camera etc buttons to other applications, or show a menu of applications and/or actions
decrypt/encrypt and/or zip/unzip application data on the fly when an application is launched/exits
pause music playback while in a particular application, restart on exit
change the Home icon for any application
take a time-lapse photo series (possibly 'secretly')
make a regular backup of a file on the SD card
track your phone location via SMS in case of theft
extend the use of the media button on your headset: take a picture from a distance or go to the previous media track with a long press
record call times and destinations to the SD card
show a popup when an SMS arrives from a particular phone number
setup a birthday SMS to be sent months before it happens so you don't forget
record battery levels over time to a file on SD card
make automatic recordings of what you say during phone calls to SD card
during the night, turn on airplane mode to conserve battery/reduce radiation, but turn it off every 15 minutes to check for SMS/voicemail.
setup a vacation SMS message, with different messages for different callers
launch a music application when headphones are connected

Some of us prefer to transfer files with faster local network speeds as opposed to using the cloud at times, not to mention I'm sure people may want certain files off the grid.

I've been playing air attack hd, a pretty decent shooter.

Amazon Clould Drive is looking decent, a free 5 gigs and they got an android app.

http://www.pcworld.com/article/223654/amazon_cloud_drive_its_all_about_android_domination_baby.html

"In the virtual game of mobile moneymaking, Amazon has just made a brilliant move.

Amazon, as you may have heard, announced a new service called Cloud Drive on Tuesday. The service gives you a free 5GB of online storage for your music, then lets you stream your songs on-demand from the Web or any Android device. You can get additional storage for a dollar per year per gig.

The service couldn't be simpler: You use Amazon's PC-based tool to find all the music on your computer and dump it onto Amazon's servers. You install Amazon's Cloud Player app onto your Android phone and, if you have one, your Android tablet, too. Then, wherever you are -- whatever device you're using -- you can pull up your tunes and play 'em as if they were right there with you.

The concept itself, of course, is nothing new: Smaller companies such as mSpot and Rdio have offered similar services for some time. Even so, make no mistake about it: Amazon's entry into the realm of online music streaming has the potential to seriously shake up the Android landscape."

If only TSTT's mobile internet services were better, I could see myself using this,
but we not really ready for true cloud services just yet.

Good thing bout cloud services, u doh always have to be online, d cloud services is handy for when u editing docs in multiple places, so if i edit a notebook on my laptop onenote, i know when i reach home it on my desktop, juss hop phone onto a wifi and it go sync fass, or take he time in d background on edge. albeit rel time.

Anyways, for all those android custom mod owners, take a gander at this:

Indeed I've been using dropbox for about 3 years now, some things I don't really need synced to multiple machines though like my music and "movie" stash hehe.

I posted a similar article a few days ago

http://www.carigamers.com/cms/forums/index.php/topic,20477.msg263312.html#msg263312

Some people swear by the full discharge method right after flashing a new rom.
