Pretty amusing discussion so far.
I like that pic MessiaaH posted.
It is true to some degree. Android users
do see themselves as smarter than average,
and with good reason.
...and my battery optimisation efforts have borne fruit, as I can safely get just over
19 hours on a single charge, and thats with moderate wi-fi usage, constant GPRS usage,
regular suite of phone calls, SMS, hourly email pull-downs, some music playing.
I am quite OK with that. It's enough to get through a full workday without needing to recharge,
and while at work, I forward all calls to my work phone, and if the battery goes low, I just
charge it while driving home, just as I used to do with the N900. Big deal.
Actually, when I think about it, that's better than what I used to get out of the N900 on
a daily basis, and consider the fact that the N900's LCD didn't consume nearly as much
power as the AMOLED screen on the SGS.
That kind of usage I can certainly live with. I have absolutely no problem charging once a day.
Fact is..no matter the OS, these batteries cannot keep up with the demands that our devices
put on them. The tech needs to improve. Big time.
...and please...lets not turn this into an Android vs WP7 thread. I don't understand
why these tech-related threads always have to turn into a motherf@#king FISH MARKET
because of a select few people ALL THE MOTHERF@#KING TIME!!!
