lol @ contradicting reports...

i thought men who own the devices say they cant make it through a day under average use with all features enabled (without charging)....

a man even say he have chargers everywhere so no need to worry about battery life... lol... if you could make it a day and well into the night (after school) on normal use then no worries right.. no need to have chargers all over

aye give credit where credit is due and call bs when is true nah... the battery life simply not good... thats a known fact lol live with it...

I know what it can do because I have tried it and what I just reported is what i've found.

Sure, I dont NEED to have chargers all over but I like keeping the phone topped up at all times. Do you only put your phone to charge when it is low? yeah boy I could get 1.5 days out one charge so if I charge this morning, he eh getting no more till tomorrow after lunch?

That come like waiting till your gas light come on, only to have to run and find a gas station before you shut down. It is just not practical.

windows mobile 6.5 was doing wifi hotspot so long now, dies somethign big and spectacular? rofl, dats old shit buddy. Why wp7 could only dream to do it? software is software, nothign stoping it from coming, ms release d thing lockdown for a reason, and will open it up / expand on it as time go on. Wifi Hotspot is somethign only google can do? and my hd2 have dat shit 2 years ago? dread get real lol.

And i mentioned wp7 no where in my post, we talking bout android, not wp7 lol.
My 2 year old ass hd2 with wp6.5 coudl do anything android could do.
Flush android down a toilet bowl eh lol, Custom roms are good and well, but i shoudlnt need a custom rom to give me what shud be ah basic feature, android is version 2.2 and man stil relying on custom rom? stuesp. waste of fart.

anyway, to each his own.

I explore d android option, and d only thing i want out of it, is apps, plain and simple, nothing else, and i mean nothing, attracks me to d platform. And d only 2 apps i wud want, is TeamViewer and Pulse. i coudl live without dem thing given d added avatages of wp7.

And i not jus going off what i read, i use d dam thing, and dont like it. Nothing anybody say go change dat.

Microsoft has been slugging it out in the mobile space for nearly 12 years with almost as many versions of their mobile os. Google now come on the scene abt 3 short years and they already beating MS senselessly in the mobile space.

If you wanna talk out of the box functionality, I am putting it to you that bare Android can do more (including mobile hotspot) than wp7 can. If I can use a rom to get more functionality, why not.

You keep saying that ms released the wp7 in a half retarded state, but do you even know WHAT that reason is? I'd really like to know.

But I real like how you admitting 6.5 has more features than wp7 with the HOPE that more features are trickled down via future updates. These basic things should be included UP FRONT in an OS release in THIS day and age? Come on. If I hadda flush ANY os, it wont be Android. Trust and believe.

As for you Pheonix, no need to mask the fact that you feel offended by multiple smiley use. Sorry if you feel offended but I meant not to do that, simply demonstrate a point.

There are a few Android users around here on the forums. I think you'll find they all report similar findings, not the best battery life out there but certainly enough to AT LEAST get through the lion's share of 24hrs.

what smiley faces you tlkin about dude?

i'm talking about ur dumb question and relating it to filling up your car with gas...
if i had a gas station in my house.. and my car coulda go all day without the tank going to E... why would i need or want to have to stop to fill up my car anywhere else...

sigh lol...

i already see enuff fanboyism from you with android yes lol... its proven with your responses... scour the web and you'll see so many reports of people with horrible battery life... it's so bad that the question was posed to Larry Page about battery life issues... his response was of course not the OS, is the apps and user habits lol...
and yet you STILL fighting it down man... lawdy

^^ lol @ the first paragraph

note i have nothing against the OS but yuh taking it to a whole new level man

Apple is #1 for a reason, and dies all i have to say about wp7 current state.

Also, i wont need to flash my rom  and start form scratch, to get said future updates, juss click d Go button. And anybody with half a brain muss know, MS go add they shit as time pass, is ah multi billion dollor business, and men like nokia know what dey doing. U mite know better doh :)

And yes, wp6.5 have more features and capabilites dan wp7 right now.
But ill give up that flexability in ah heartbeat to get what wp7 does unique, and how dam good, it does it. After having flashed my hd2 with wp7, ill never go back to 6.5 even with all d added features it provides. what wp7 does, it juss does it too dam good. and i know more will come, i dont think, i know. MS didnt invest billions by guess lol. And dey go keep spending more til d platform reach where it shud be.

Till then, ill enjoy d buttery slickness that is wp7 :)
I wont like to see d drain on dem DualCore android devices battery nah lolol.
And with all dat it still cyah load ah dam webpage like ios/wp7 :).
Id choose android over ios doh, wp7 is d middle man, best of both worlds :)

Yeah, cus im the ONLY fanboy in this thread right?

nice to see you TOTALLY missed my gas station analogy. That's alright cuz I kinda understand yours. Whether or not you have an issue with the slightly lower battery runtime all depends on your charging habits. I make it a habit to connect when I am near a power source to ensure im always full, you can charge in the morning and go into the next day on a charge.

My method works, so does yours making battery life a non-issue.

I challenge you. Pick a phone, any phone, scour the web and find 3 instances where poor battery life is reported. Thanks.

I didnt see an answer to my question. You say they made it feature incomplete for a reason. What is that reason?

I didnt realise we gone back to web page loading comparison. Remind me again what review say wp7/ios web browsing is better than Android?

As for dual core, you and I both know that manufacturing processes improve over time and more can be done with the same power draw. Personally, I wont mind enjoying a dual core smartphone.

Of course there's the little detail i'll be enjoying same LONG before you...maybe you will when MS decide to relax its stranglehold it has on its partners. When wp8 comes out perhaps?

awesome.. don't you get it.. it's not phone specific.. it's the OS, so it is much easier to just find general issues reported... why would i go look for people posting about a specific phone.. thats waste a time research...

and MS execs discussed that many times... they picked the most important thing and focused on that to get an extremely high performance OS... and they will keep picking things and focusing on it piece by piece and get it well.. it's been 6 months and you could swear wp7 been out 2-3 years like android n they...

they only issue ppl have with wp7 is appz right now.. and thats something that develops over time :S...
but neways.. android works for u so fix up

Yawn, d reason is to have a lock solid controlled platform.
Test d waters, gage customer feedback, add/ajust/adapt.

D reason is to avoid what cuased 6.5 to be a problem to some, where men installing shit apps, dat max out CPU etc. Basically to avoid what happenign with android right now. and ive already posted many articles in dis thread, relating to both batt life, and d current retarded state of d android OS. If u want go back and read, i not finding/reposting.

MS choose to take a core experince and perfect it, do it better dan anybody else. And IMO dey suceed, browsing d web, listenign to music, Email, Sharepoint, Speed, Slickness, FB Integration, etc etc etc, are d BEST! on wp7 dan any other platform. Dat was MS orignal goal. Dey suceed, now, slowly expand whiles still retaining d core solid experience.
So 5 years down d raod, it wont be just another 6.5 with ah facelift with shitlaod of issues. Like android is and faster becoming.

http://pocketnow.com/android/editorial-androids-flaw

Dis is juss one of many many examples, of what happening to android, which is what happen to 6.5, which is what MS trying to avoid with their strategy, and which made apple Numero UNO!

If u still need more explanation than dat, den i doh know what to say again lol.

Like I said before, MS has been at the mobile game for years and years and years. Android NOW come on the scene. MS have no right to be in the position they in right now playing catchup, especially after the 'billions they invest'. You can throw how much money you want behind a thing, doesnt automatically make it a success.

You said search and I will see people reporting horrible battery life, implying that specific phones are to blame. But if I am understanding you now, you're saying the OS is not optimized to make best use of the battery(which I agree with to a point).

I cant tell you the last time I went on a forum and saw anyone complaining abt battey life and i'll tell you why. Its because there are certain measure that one can take to extend the life obtained from a charge.

SO while life is not yet where it should be, it is nowhere as bad as the haters naysayers are making it out to be.

You see, that's the beauty with Android. It is possible to see EXACTLY what is drawing battery power and kill whatever it is individually. matter fix, problem solve. THAT is your big spoke in the wheel?

And your assertion that WP7 does things better is YOUR interpretation. If you are stating this as fact then i'll have to insist you provide empirical evidence to prove same. If you cannot then I have no choice but to disregard your statements.

But under the ole talk, is really an apples to oranges comparison between Android and WP7. Android and wm6.5 is really for the hardcore techies who like to meddle while being friendly enough to be used by the average joe.

WP7 on the other hand was built with the average joe in mind...and THAT is a fact with no room for the techie. This is the reason why mom and sis will get a wp7 phone but I will never ever touch it.

Firstly, you shouldnt even have to hack a hd2 to run wp7. Just look at the specs on that phone. The fact that you have to is testament to ms's gayness on the wp7 front.

Lets not forget that you CANNOT take that wp7 install on hd2 to use the online features that 'better than anybody else'. So what you have is the ability to place and end calls...in style.

fail and fail.

*clap clap* @ empirical evidence. Well done.
