Oh sweet lord...that is BIG.

...and that's why Samsung will continue to get people's money.  :)
Not satisfied with the battery?  Change it.  Done.

Keep believing it's 'just marketing'.

Bet you can't do THAT with a HTC One.  :laughing7:

Arc, yuh could just as easily, even more so, attach a battery jacket to the HTC One. I buying a jacket for my 920 for long trips. No problem atal. And again, the average consumer knows nothing about extended batteries lol. Obviously d men posting on gatt is not yuh average consumer.

Taking a look at the HTC lineup new customers could easily get confused, look at the number of "One" devices on there. One SV, One X, One X+, One S etc. People could easily think that the actual "One" is a lower end model.

^^ Agreed. They dilute the brand too much already. It going to take some serious marketing for them to get out of that, which i doh think they have d budget for, like i said earlier in d thread, htc going to get pwn all over again.

Good Device != Success.

Which is unfortunate. Android needs that strong competition against samsung, otherwise you guys will quickly find yourself getin slight iterations year after year, with no real innovation taking place anymore. (Apple)

Nokia currently having the same effect on WP, they gone with all the market share. Microsoft trying to bolster d HTC line to offer nokia some competition but thus far it aint working.

Poor HTC, they getting boned on android from Sammy, and Boned on WP from nokia. I wont be suprised if they eventually tap out. But again, that would be very unfortunate.  HTC responsible for most advancements in the Smartphone Industry. They dominated windows mobile, they had d first android phone, the first nexus, the First windows phone. The first phone with a physical qwerty keyboard. They do alot for d industry. I eh want to see them go.

Google Keep is now available.

http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2013/03/google-keep/

Android users, take note: Google Keep — a long-overdue app for creating lists and reminders — has arrived.

Keep is essentially Google’s answer to Evernote and the Post-It. Believe it or not, while Apple’s iOS has had a Notes app and a Reminders app baked in for some time now, Keep is Google’s first mobile app focused on solving either of these problems.

As you’d expect, Keep is integrated with Google Drive, the cloud storage service Google wants anyone who uses anything it makes to use. You can type out a reminder or list using the Keep Android app, which landed in Google Play on Wednesday (after leaking for a bit Monday), or on the web at drive.google.com/keep. Aside from tapping out a note, you can also store photos in the app, and you can record voice notes, which Keep then transcribes into text, so you can read or listen to them later.

If you snap a photo in the app, you can then edit it using all of Android’s built-in camera features (cropping, color balancing, photo filters and borders). Using Android’s sharing features, you share a photo by e-mail, text messaging, Picasa, Google+, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Path, Dropbox and even Amazon’s Send to Kindle feature.

This being a Google product, there’s also a search function, so you can find the Keeps you kept, and you can color code what you’ve got in a variety of hues. The app sorts everything in a style that is reminiscent of Pinterest or Pocket. It looks great and it’s super easy to use. Want to move a reminder to the top of your mosaic? Just drag and drop, and tap to get in and edit. You can also archive or delete any reminder once you’re done with it. It’s all pretty painless and feels like something Google should have offered up years ago.

Keep is only compatible with phones and tablets running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or newer, and as of now, there are no Keep apps for iOS, Windows Phone or any other mobile operating systems. If the app takes off (and it should, because it works well and looks fantastic), then we’d guess that a Keep app on iOS is only a matter of time. After all, Gmail, Drive, Maps, Translate, Earth, YouTube, Field Trip and even Currents can all be found on iOS.

For those using Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, Google has also built a Keep widget, which can be placed on your Android homescreen, or on your phone or tablet’s lock screen, which would enable users to add a reminder without even having to unlock their device.

Nice @ google Keep.

Been missing that functionality. It is native on blackberry and pretty much every other device I have ever used as a PDA.

Definitely the fist major omission I noticed after the switch to Android.

Strange because Google Apps has a "tasks" feature that would suffice. You almost have to dig to find it though.

Been using third party apps on my droid that actually sync with the official google tasks service. It was beyond comprehension that they didn't have a native app.

Doesn't quite sound like a game.

It's actually an interactive comic, with hours of voice-acting.
I was a bit skeptical myself, until I read the description properly.
Not a bad way to while away some hours.

Bank lines ain't got s*** on me.

hahah @ bank lines.

I actually look forward to bank lines nowadays, to stand and bask in the glory that is my android phone.

Properly well entertained while other customers languish in boredom and misery.

Since getting my external SDCard, moviewatching is my new goto time waster on droid.

The fidelity is surprisingly good for such a small screen (if you could consider the galaxy note's screen small)

Finally making some progress through my media collection as a result.

Boom bang!

Google to sell second-gen Nexus 7 tablet from July

Google to sell second-gen Nexus 7 tablet from July

http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSBRE93205L20130403?irpc=932

TAIPEI (Reuters) - Google Inc will launch a new version of its Nexus 7 tablet powered by Qualcomm Inc's Snapdragon processor around July, two sources told Reuters, as the software giant pushes deeper into the cut-price mobile hardware market.

Google is aiming to ship as many as eight million of the Asustek-made tablets in the second half of the year, throwing down the gauntlet to other low-end tablets such as Amazon.com Inc's Kindle Fire and Apple Inc's iPad mini, the sources with knowledge of the new product said.

This is the first time details about the timing and sales targets for Google's new tablet have been unveiled, although the company has not publicly released any information.Google, which gets almost all of its revenue from online advertising, wants the aggressively priced Nexus tablets to be a hit as more Nexus users would mean more exposure for Google's ads.

The latest version will have a higher screen resolution, a thinner bezel design and adopt Qualcomm's chip in place of Nvidia Corp's Tegra 3, which was used in the first Nexus 7s released last year, the sources said, declining to be identified because they are not authorized to speak to the media.

In a blow to Nvidia, Google weighed both U.S. chipmakers' processors but finally decided on Qualcomm's for power reasons, one of the sources added.
