PC gamers too good for console gamers

Which is why I never abandoned the PC platform for FPS games. Their is an elitist air around PC FPS gamers and that's precisely what makes it so intense.

No one will deny that FPS games on consoles are targeted at the casual gamer. Pick up and play.

This is why it puzzles me that you haven't made the move to PC?

No Aim Assist, better controllers (Keyboard and Mouse) and tons of Competition.

I think the point was made oh so very clear with BC2. Saw the difference in the PC roster to the Console roster?

The level of competition and ranks the local PC men achieved compared to their "casual" brethren playing Battlefield on the 360 and PS3?

Well...you -can- connect a PS3 controller to the PC eh.  It takes a little work get it working properly,
but it can be done.  Its just a matter of configuring it in-game to mimic the console exactly.

I don't think the hardcore PS3 players have the PC version though.

This would be an 'awesome' (pardon the pun ) match to set up though,
and the game has Squad Rush/Deathmatch to make just such a match possible.

Think about it:  Awesome and the boys, with kbam, vs Blu_Vice and the boys, using PS3 controllers.

I think that will put an end to the debate once and for all on this forum (yeah, right ).


Of course the biggest issue is getting enough PCs to run it...and the venue.  (Somebody call Kaizen)

have both ps3 and pc badcompany 2 and u can see, the ps3 control connected bluetooth to my pc...
That said i still think this is very true no matter how u look at it... *points below*

Still tho i really love how accurate i am in resident evil 4 on Wii, i get a crazy amount of headshots very easy so i'm waiting to see what PS3 "Move" can bring, cuz i'm telling you the tables might actually turn since that thing is now using a 3Dspace for accuracy rather than a mice's 2D like flat surface... x_x

Well...you might just be the exception. 

Nice shot there.  What is the name of that app you used to connect the PS3 controller?  If that works well, I may even ditch
the use of the wired Xbox 360 controller and use my PS3 instead.

i've used to motion joy app... it works pretty well.. i only use it in dirt2 though.. so cant say for other games

for me it was copying of some drivers and installing the motionjoy download

Just tried it out...lets just say I won't be abandoning my wired Xbox controller just yet.  Too many hoops to jump
through to get it to work...WHEN it works. 

You see that step where you have to turn off signed-driver enforcement...EVERY time you boot Windows?  Thats a recipe for disaster right there.
There HAS to be a more elegant solution to use a PS3 controller wirelessly.

I won't be more than 6 feet away from the PC or the screen, so later for that.

agreed... i end up putting W7 permanently in "test mode"
i stopped using it doh because i already have a pc controller.. i jus wanted the "trigger" of the ps3 to function as a variable throttle, but it wasn't so back to the old controller

Yeah arcmanov its is pretty annoying to setup at first, I have windows 7 64bit so when i first installed the ps3 control drivers it was a nightmare to get working correctly, found this guide that worked for me to get the control working with a wire correctly

After that i just followed this for wireless to work correctly

I did all that stuff back when thoses links had the current versions of the program, since then i have used DS3_Tools auto update to patch up to the current version, so at the moment i'm using  DS3_TOOL 0.5.0003

it does take quite a while to get it setup, but once its done just press the button on the ps3 control and it connects to the pc no problems whenever u use your pc.  if u want to use the control on ps3 again just connect it with the wire and it will sync back to ps3, when your done connect the control back to pc with the wire, run the DS3 Tool and pair the control back to PC and your set to go again.

Street fighter 4 works great with ps3 control on pc, same other games i've tried like deadspace, hawx and assassin creed 2.

1. pc dont got the games i play
sorry but cod is bs on every platform and is just a bs game imo
bc2 meh.......gets boring too fast and vehicles....not a fan of ppl whoring vehicles...im a CQC in-uh-face-stab-yuh-in-neck-then-teabag-yuh-while-laughin kinda player....sittin in a tank pressin fire and spammin tank shells aint really my thing

3. keyboard sucks ass for movement
mouse is good for aiming but keyboard is shit
frag fx is best of both worlds (i think i cud use that on pc too not sure idk)

but yea points 1 and 2 are the key reasons i gave up on pc gaming long days
and like i said not every console game has auto aim most do but then again i dont play most console games..just the ones locals seem to ignore

MAG got none imo cuz i havent seen it in there an i hate games that have it

lastly in terms of competition i gets loads of it
notice i have two psn accounts i use
seperate the locals from the ppl who actually play

idk if u notice limit this but i have been on alot less on my blu_vice psn that is because i made by NuMb3rZ one the primary from now on and it signs in there one time as it powers up

and with clan wars and leaderboards coming for MAG soon its gonna be epic doin some clan battles on that
