The HAF wins in every category you listed, but fails in one very important category
that you didn't list: air filtering.

The HAF has absolutely NO filters that you can speak of.  At least when it debuted it didn't.  I am not sure if this is still the case with the newer revisions.

You will ketch your royal extra stout to keep the dust out.

doh matter which you choose either one would work fine

i share arcmans sentiments buy some cans of air and put it down...you WILL need it (i own the cm690)

oh PS

cooler master stopped making RESPECTABLE looking cases since the original centurion 5 and stacker

i fking hate these cases that look like they stuck mid-transform

antec/lian-li ftw

puttin dust aside

and focusingon cooling
the haf 922 cannot be beaten for its price at all

after owning both. and sellin the cm and buying a haf 922 for everyday use.. ( using a Thermaltake Armor for gaming "modded" ) i wont buy another 690

the 690 has more fan yes...but its way loud! like sycrod said..gotta love those 200mm fans.. slient and moves air!

plenty of space in the haf 922 as well.more than the 690

Buy a small compressor instead of the cans of air. You will save in the longrun.
