soundwhoring much harder in this game
before with my AX Pros i cudda hear a man a mile away sprintin and accurately tell which direction

using the Astro A40s now and detecting sound and footsteps more importantly is much harder than in mw2

other ppl i know have tested this and realised this as well
when i dont got ninja i can hear my own footsteps loud and clear but enemies not so much...not until they directly up on yuh

This is intentional from what they said in the leading up to the release of the game, wanting to take away from players ability to either camp or rewards from camping, since the Kill streak is still implemented i wouldn't put it past them for this to be the anti camping

Cant sit and hear ppl walk by have to go out and find them type thing, just my suggestion

intentional but tbh kinda dumb cuz it doesnt stop it one bit and thats the whole reason the ninja perk in there for in the 1st place

now yuh have ppl with either surround sound setups or surround sound headsets and not getting surround sound on mp....kinda dumb

@ Apprentice i was NOW gonna ask that...i mean this is a popular game franchise yet activision still being cheapo and not using dedicated servers?
i played a ground war last night....almost break d damn disc

ppl zippin all over the place i pullin a ONE bar or a two at BEST on MY 50mb connection? na man

sad thing is when i on a 2bar i pullin a 2 ratio easy but the majority of the time is a mc one bar i on

at least sony implements dedicated servers on ALL their exclusives and none of them rake in the kinda funds COD do and COD rakes it in every year and we still cyah get it stueps

I know right.
I don;t understand why you getting only 1 and 2 bar games though.
I 95% of the time get 3bars. 4% 2 bars and 1% split between 4 and 1 bars.
Maybe high flow latency in your area these days?
Still anything less than "4bars" is a significant disadvantage sadly.

We simply have to cope with it, complaining aint gonna do anything at least til the next CoD game, and this is what everyone is playing anyways. /sigh

Question: Are they doing stats for Black Ops accessible through their website, or is it only that stupid summary at the end of a game like in MW2 with your top 3 accolades etc?

I'm a stats whore, so this will go a long way in me deciding whether to pick this game up, or not.

Not sure if it abailable online. The game does keep a detailed stats record in game.

Not sure if mw2 does the same thing but it shoild not be too hard for them to create an online interface.

I agree cap, it should be an easy thing for them to throw together and put online, but they completely skipped it for MW2, and I was really disappointed about that. Apparently World at War had online stats tracking, so I'm hoping since that was Treyarch's baby as well, that they extended the stats loving to Black Ops, but I just want confirmation.

The stats online not up yet, I assume eventually they will have it. But the in game stats right now Kinda screwy on the main leaderboard, which they need to patch. Its showing crazy Kills. I assume the next patch they bringing will address these issues, as well as the multiplayer issues that we are having, especially when trying to find games in parties. Searching for a game by yourself is fine, but when you try to bring your party, half the time your party gets dropped...Treyarch hadda fix that soon, otherwise I will be throwing my disc out my 27th floor window...other than that, the game is great Czar. Imagine my KDR in MW2 was 1.49, in Black Ops its currently at 1.78...Yours hadda be 2.00+ when you start playing... ROFL... Come join the sweat nah Man!! We could do with another man to teach some men how to play the game...:P

Tempting boy red...buh was dah scene wit d matchmaking? So allyuh doh be playing together all d time?

I did some more searching on the online stats thing and it doesn't look like there's been any official word on whether they will implement something for Black Ops. Suck.

Ah contemplating picking it up, might see if I could trade in MW2 and a couple others at EBGames or sometin.

We do play together, but its a pain sometimes to keep the party together, we just keep sending invites a few times in between. As long as you in together we stay in the lobby...better decide quick, I'm already at level 30 :P and Jarrox and Foz are on 39 lol
