Not bad. I wish DICE an EA have a similar plan for DLC for BF3.

Played Dropzone for the first time a day ago and all I have to say is, if you don't have get a good team for that your're royally effed. The team that gets to the zone first will just use the care packages to bombard the other team until the other dropzone becomes active and then movie onto there. Fun but only if u have a proper team.

Also I saw steam doing and update for this the other day, anybody realise if anything significant changes were made? Im not sure but i think the FMG9's are weakened a little (not sure).

I agree and disagree with many of the points. I think adding new game modes or add-ons to give more depth to the story is fine, but I WANT senseless, run and gun cause that's ONE of the things I like about the COD series, instant gratification. If I want team-based, objective oriented SLOW AS MOLASSES gameplay, i'll go frustrate myself with BF3 on the console. When I want to jump into a game, drop men like flies, I play MW simple.

If I want a game that my decisions have to be weigher carefully and repercussions are an issue, i'll go play Star Wars Old republic or such. If I want a game to FK with my psysche i'll go play silent hill or such. All the complaints aren't partially valid, but it's for those that are fed up of this style of game and to be fair there are TONNES of great other titles that fill that void.

IMHO, the only real thing that beefed me with MW3 was the matchmaking, elite not working and... well that's pretty much it. It still give me that good feeling when we lay the smack down on the other team.

If you want a game that HAS EVERYTHING, I'll go play gears of war 3. Its imho the ONLY big title on xbox that delivered it ALL! withouth the hiccups.

...and W1nTry is a classic example of why Call Of Duty will not change anytime soon.  :/

You drones need to let go of this 'mindless,  run and gun, drop men like flies' mentality and step out of the matrix.

Shame arc, you completely ignored the fact that I mention AND play many other games to get my other fixes... shame... MW3 is my run and gun fix, DD for my indie tower defense/strat, SC2 occasionally, Trine 2 (more coop indie goodness), GOW3 (just bess), RPGs like FF and Elder Scrolls.

Everything has it's place.

You're missing the thrust of my argument.

Stop looking to CoD as this so-called 'run-and-gun, quick-fix'.

I'm not blaming you specifically, but it's this mindset among fans that has the franchise exactly where it is now.
It's time to demand more of this franchise, but sadly, the only way to do so is with your wallets, and that just ain't happening.

When will you people give Activision the wake-up call it needs to push this franchise in a bold, new direction?

...and by 'wake-up call', I mean 'not buying it'.

Tell me Arc, do you complain that your favourite roti shop tastes the same way for the last 10 years? Activision makes a tonne load of other games, perhaps what you need is for them to make a different TYPE of FPS that will cater to your needs. As for when next i'll be buying a new cod game? not till the new xbox. I am certain MW3 will hold me over ftw until then. I'm not saying they can't improve i'm just saying that with all the other OPTIONS out there, why is everyone so bent on the COD franchise being different from what it is? if tomorrow they decided to make a different FPS war title and call it Future Wars and innovate, would you still be complaining about the COD franchise?

Why aren't more ppl complaining about the Final Fantasy franchise which has been unable to sucessfully reproduce the success of FFVII ever since? Why aren't ppl complaining about MOBA games? same tried and tested mechanics no? better graphics, MORE characters, same WORKING formula no? If COD wasn't the mainstream title it IS, noone would care.

I agree with w1n

CoD has a formula, a winning one.

It may not be going in a direction you agree with Arc, but like W1n said, there are other games on the market to satisfy that itch.

One sure way to go insane, is to try to please all the people, all the time.

CoD can't be everything to everyone.

W1n scored big points when he used the moba example.

I'm still playing Dota 2 heavy. 10 years later.

Its exactly the same as Dota 1. Just with better graphics and a few minor tweaks.

And no, I'm not complaining....not for one second.

Maybe your energy would be better put promoting games that innovate to your tastes than constantly dissing CoD, lol

I'm not dissing anything, but that article is presenting a viewpoint that needs saying, whether you choose to appreciate it or not.  I'm merely agreeing with the author.

I think we all have things we agree with in any positive/negative that is said of COD, I for one just fed up of ppl BEING FED UP and complaining is all. Not saying the article doh raise good points, I just figure it's beating a dead goat. Move on and play something else instead of yet ANOTHER article about how COD is irrelevant.
