Hey

From my experience buying phones abroad any quad band unlocked phone more or less works with both Digicel and Bmobile. Those choices will work, I had the Nokia E71 for a while, great phone that can do all that you specified. There is a similar model available at a lower price, the E63-2, check it out.

yea once its quad it'll work i bought my 6101 in 06 tri-band from Canada used to work just fine until tstt switched to bmobile an it started to give trouble works perfect with Digicel tho ......so when u buying Nokias from north America make sure the model number doesn't have a (b) after it

but once it's quad band it'll work no prob

as for your decision you could take woody's advice the E71 is very very nice... the E63 isn't bad either...also the E75

also

Ok, i know i mite get shot with a 40mm tube to face for saying this, but, BlackBerries, are SHIT!

That being said, i've previously owned the HTC Touch HD (wonderful device, eats iphone alive), ive since then upgraded to the HTC HD2 (eats every phone in existance alive, Iphone 3gs killer),
but i know you're lookin for keyboard phone, so the next best thing is the HTC Touch Pro 2, (phoenix owns this one, it is bad too, is the Touch HD with ah keyboard). Very very nice device, the best smartphone with a keyboard, prices shud be dropped since the release of the HD2.

Phones i've owned over the years:

HTC 8525
Toshiba Protoge G900
HTC Tilt/Kaiser
HTC Touch HD
Blackberry Curve (pukes)
HTC HD2

Phones i intend to own:

HTC HD3 :) with Windows Phone 7, ill most likely be flashing my HD2 with windows 7.

@ Kiya
if your budget allows you can also consider the HTC Tilt 2/ Touch Pro 2 has all the specs u wanted but it's a bit pricey

boss, when u say big, u mean physical size?

if dats what u mean, trust me when i say, it is not too big.
D thing is slim, and fits wonderfully in ur hand.
Im actualy suprised how small it is, given d screen size.
and d perfomrance is 3 times that of d Touch HD.
Capacitive screen, ad phone is BAD!.

D size good, doh frighten, d thing have ah 1ghz processor, and encode xmen 3 bluray for it, thing playing and showing BESSSSS!!!!, bluray on ah phone, boy, PRESSURE. i inlove with d HD2.

And i use msn right through on phone, Voice Clips FTW.

I'm forced to agree with Messiaah here, but them HTCs are damn expensive.

I say, get a Nokia E71 (shameless plug, I know )

It has all the features you want, and then some.

Any one here has one?

does degi or b provide internet for it? and if so what is the price per mth?
If something happens to it can it be fixed in trinidad?

When the original n97 came out it had many software issues, many have been fixed. It could be decent just make sure to check a bunch of online reviews.

Symbian has google maps and ovi maps, the gps maps for trinidad not that bad actually.

As for the internet bmobile offers edge service it is 150 a month on top of your regular plan. Speeds are around 100kbps or so.
If you buy your phone from digi or bmobile you will have a 1 year warranty I think.

I assume it would be good for small hands as it is a mini. Typed all this on my N900 :)

i tought the n97 mini was a mini of the n900.  :crybaby2:
so what would you suggest.. n97mini or n900? I like the n900 but i appears to be rather large..
do the maps for trinidad have the turn by turn voice guide like the ovi maps?

internet is provided via your sim card not the phone.

Once the phone supports GPRS, net will work, weather digicell or tstt.
And if the phone supports EDGE, u will get edge speeds.

I've heard digicell has gotten 3G not sure. but trinidad really needs 3G now, tstt sticks as usual.

Get an unlimited package if u are putting net on d phone, the pay-as-u-go rates are horible.

kiya I would suggest going with the n97 mini. The N900 came out after the n97 but is not really intended for mass market. It is a bit rough around the edges with an interim OS called Maemo 5. Maemo 6, Meego or whatever it's going to be called will be released in a year or so. The reason I got the N900 is for the web browser which renders sites just as it would on a pc. It literally is a pc with both pros and cons.

I recommend the n97 mini as the N900 is quite bulky and the n97 is on the symbian os which has more apps available.

Typed this out on my n900 while on the boat to tobago.
