@Blu- To be honest though, PC version of BFBC2 didn't even have voice chat (afaik). The "features" which you continue to clamor for is not given to one system and not given to the other. I do agree that some consideration should be given to those features, or at least some word about why it wasn't implemented if it means a lot to the community.

well doom, they won't need voice chat on the PC platform because of mumble, teamspeak, etc...

They will need it on the console...BIG TIME.

No the pc needs voip because not everyone uses 3rd party programs,The voip was best in bf2 when you were is a random squad.

In game voip + random squad with mic + teamwork= winning.

Let me explain.

The PC doesn't "need" in game voip because we have entrenched alternatives (which quite likely would be better than the in game offering anyway)

It would be a "nice to have". a bonus. They could integrate mumble since its opensource and that would be sweet.

The console gamers aren't so lucky.

Particularly the PS3. They NEED in game voip like a fish needs water.

There is no easy alternative.

As mentioned before on these forums, for Thursday Night Palance on the PS3, it was suggested gamers get a laptop/netbook and put it next to their PS3 to be in the same channel to chat. lol

That's fail right there. Shouldn't have to go through those hoops to talk to squad members.

For the ps3 sweat, why not have the pc vith voip chat? While at it, oops, I hit purchase on Origin for bf3 pc? how did that happen??? Hmmm let me see... And change the 's3' in ps3 sweat to 'c' and you good to go!!!

Agreed.....is not horrible at all. i too fell through the map a couple mins into the game but besides that its engaging on the ps3 no need to cry here. I'll get this.

my Astros i paid for is to hear glorious ingame surround sound not to have my game on mute and my astros plugged into laptop for voice chat

PS:not everyone willing and able to fork out money to buy a gaming PC JUST to play ONE game, why is this so hard for some ppl to understand.....

@ wyatt PS3 chat and Xbox works the same
XBOX has a party chat but if u cant get more than 4 in the game it still makes no sense as ull be talkin to 4 in game and 4 ppl who not even in the match and still teaming with 8 randoms who wont hear u anyway since ur on party chat. The party system and comms go hand in hand.

no defending a crappy party system
4 person squads work fine but let us get together 12 ppl and join as a grp and we organise the squads ourselves ingame or outside
