So what's gonna happen to the EA titles people purchased on steam that have been pulled from the service? Would they be able to re-download/auto update in the future? My only problem with Origin is the fact that the prices are in euros when ordering from T&T, that's just stupid. I own all my EA titles on disc so I'm gonna stick to retail until I have no choice.

I suggest those with EA titles on steam activate their code on Origin just to be on the safe side. :)

Something tells me we shud rename this to the 'complain about EA and Activision' thread. the article Messiaah posted claims EA has no involvement, so until otherwise notified by Valve, all we can do is wait for a more informative release from them. No use in complaining about it at this point in time.

Regardless of this, at the end of the day, these companies are in it to make the most money they can even if it means pissing a couple ppl off. They know they have a market regardless of what stunts they pull, which is the same for Activision. Can't please everyone now can u? And as Awesome stated previously, EA hopefully learnt from the mistakes they made when BC2 was launched, im pretty sure their sensible enough to fix Origin before  launchin BF3 as well as have proper beta testing in the next few months.

*waits for the Battlefield Guru to post an article/video to get thread back on its rails*

It's funny, EA and MS have a bit of a falling out atm. I heard EA had some not so nice things to say or perhaps MS just didn't like the way it was said. So MS pulled all BF3 content off their site and now BF3 has more PS3 exclusive (if Sony paid for it let me know). There is a catch though.... guess WHO's OS BF3 runs on the PC.... you know the expression don't piss off the ppl that serve your food?....

Remember before all EA Games were developed on 360 first. Once EA got a hang of developing for PS3, they made it the lead platform.
From then on whether Sony paid them or not, they started offering exclusive content for PS3 for over a year now.
The bonus coming with BF3 for PS3 is nothing special though. Any battlefield fan that has a PS3 would have purchased BF1943 for $10 when it came out. I did, so this bonus means nothing to me. It's a great enticement though for newcomers to the franchise.

BF1943 bonus for PS3?  Cool.

Now I'll have some peeps to play with on PS3.  :)
Can't argue with that.

I pass the disc stage for PC games long time.
EA still on shit...but it looks like I'll have to swallow my pride and buy it from Origin.
I guess my PC can run ONE more online gaming service...  :shakehead:  ...but it had BETTER
not suck, or it will be all on EA, and they will reap the whirlwind.

It's really sad that it has to come to this...all because of a few people's greed.

'GG' EA...  :icon_thumleft:

Notnice... +1 for the clarification for the Physical Warfare pack.
How much you want to bet that these items are 'unlocked' when the game is extinct.

New question now:  since I pre-ordered Medal Of Honor, on Steam, in 2010,
I was promised, by DICE, entry into the BF3 mp beta, which was a large determining
factor in my decision to purchase MoH in the first place.
Since it seems that BF3 may not show up on Steam, how, exactly, is DICE/EA/Steam
going to ensure that I get access to said beta?

I think that's a reasonable question.

I waiting to see who will jump on THAT particular grenade...

same thing i keep hearing too
not excited for another big map running spree with only 24 players
Dust offering 64 EA cud up that number a bit to 40 at least...vehicles tend to take away from the infantry combat when the player count is so low :(
