Compromises need to be made for console versions of these games, and unfortunately,
player count is usually the first to go.

The first argument that is usually presented is '...look how much players in MAG at one time'.
Well, MAG might have stellar squad/team comms and play well, but it looks and sounds like
absolute $#!t compared to Bad Company 2, and that's a fact.  Zipper HAD to trade off
something for MAG to be what it is, or else it would have ended up like Black Ops, looking
and sounding real nice, but laggy as F@#K.

The hardware needs to scale up, but then it will be closer to a PC, (in price too) and then you'll
have to ask yourself, as a gamer 'why not just buy a PC then?'

You want to pay 800 or 900 US for a console then?  I think not.

nice video
console players definitely need to stand up and complain for more than 24 players on those maps

console players like to just take things as they come and not voice their opinions often enough

remind me never again to watch a video with a white man on a stool complaining unless it was a comedian. Agreed with alot of his points of the game experience but to me it'll boil down to this, making a game with a high capacity on a console is demanding on an individual's internet connection. That's the bottom line. Even with games like Black Ops, 18 man ground war is a LAG fest. Hell, a game wit the normal 12 players is troublesome enough. Unless of course you have the perfect connection and a great ISP and no problems u dont care. Feel free to correct me but this is jus my opinion on my personal experience

u do know there is something called dedicated servers right?????????
u do know PS3 exclusive MAG supports 256....yes 256 players in a single game of domination lag free right??????????????

really dont buy the excuses for limiting the console player count to 24 tbh
if is d xbox holding back d player count then limit them not like we could have cross platform play anyway

ill gladly take a dumbin down of graphics and destructibility if it means i can actually have ppl to shoot and not spend more time running looking for ppl

@ arc MAG wasnt bad at all to look at yall, yes BC looked & sounded better but MAG played better
i think ill take something that plays better over something that looks better

PS: black ops does not look good and i rarely lagged in BO

256 players with dedicated servers right. Have to be.

Not everyone is willing to make that dumbing down graphics tradeoff with great gameplay. BO was just horrible looking on the 360, so much so that I just could not look past it. Why can't I have both?

Personally I have been spoiled by BC2 on pc. Stunning graphics, destructible environments, superb gameplay and totally lag free once you on a good server. I can never ever go back to playing any serious mp on a console...unless it satisfies these criteria.

Not sure of any technical reason why 99% of console games are p2p. Thats just a 'console thing' I guess which is a major drawback.

But yeah, time to buy a pc. I guarantee that your console will see MUCH less action.

Dedicated servers as we've seen with BFBC2 doesn't mean $hit. We've thrown that excuse around in the console vs. PC argument and it failed, it HELPS, it's is a MUST for more than a certain number of players but it offers NO guarantees for a better multiplayer experience. I for one will be skipping this on the console, PC ALL THE WAY BABY!

It's not that console players not saying any thing ,it's the those useless consoles are out of date now.Dice said themselves that they tried to get more than 24 players but the console are so slow and out of date compare to pc that it can't be done at all.

that video is full of bs battlefield is/was a pc game console players need to learn that.

As i say on the ea-uk battlefield forums to them console players

BUY A PC if you want more than 24 player or STFU

Of course, there are many dedicated but laggy servers out there.

On the flip side, there are also MANY lag free servers too. I'd know, apparently i'm the official server finder when is sweat time.

We dont have to comment, do we. You DID say on your console u rather have poor graphics and good gameplay which is fine for you and ur console.

The point is that pc gamers, particularly with bc2, retain both great gameplay and graphics and when you taste the two together, there's no going back.

Battlefield 3 REALLY does look awesome. This PC vs Console BS has got to stop and I'm sure no matter what platform they bring this game out on, it's gonna look DAMN good. I just know that I will have my 51", my 5.1 stereo, My comfy chair, some beers and my favorite peeps to play online with and I'm good to go.
