sorry im not a bf fanboy and not sold on this game as of yet

sorry that i constantly question DICE's ability to actually produce a proper console game after 3 consecutive fail attempts

sorry that i run a clan and being forced to play against unorganised grps of randoms and proceeding to take advantage of them while not even tryin isnt my idea of fun.

now that i have apologised for not being sold, questioning the gods at dice and for being good at shooters can someone honestly tell me what draws them to the game OTHER than graphics and destructible environments......being dead serious here.....cuz both lose the "wow" factor after about 5 games......at least for me. I await a proper reply so someone can help me see things from their eyes...

I love the game play of BC2 just because it's different from arcade FPS. Yes it has it's bugs and whatnot. Yes you can basically only communicate with 3 other people (console), but it's still fun once you make it fun for yourself. I enjoy it for what it IS not what i want/hope/think it be. Just as people enjoyed CODs 1-99, people will enjoy BF 1-99. They play it for what it is. It is that simple.

Style of gameplay and more methods of accomplishing your task than you can count. As virtue said, Battlefield is less of a arcade shooter and more 'serious'. Its not for everyone. If you can't see the appeal, why not just move along.

The very essence of a Battlefield game is what draws me to it. Conquest game mode, huge wide open maps with the freedom to play as you wish, player controlled land and air vehicles, the emphasis on teamwork and just the feeling of being a little part of a much bigger battle. If you're not sold on just that then Battlefield isn't your kind of game. All the fancy graphics, destruction, excellent sound, bullet physics and all the other little goodies are simply icing on the cake. That is probably why i can crank up the Homefront demo and still have a tonne of fun. Both games had a few things in common that i liked. The gameplay was there but the controls were probably the worst I've come across in years...

I hope you have no hard feelings about my above post. Its just that i find it hard to understand, after all those interviews with DICE about Battlelog and it's features, creating and managing your platoon (clan), people still come here ranting about things that were already confirmed.

Now here's an interesting point-of-view. According to the executive producer of Battlefield 3, Patrick Bach, some Battlefield gamers don't like getting DLC for free. Instead, they prefer to pay for it. Huh?

Speaking to OXM, Bach said the feedback of some disgruntled Battlefield gamers had created quite a conundrum for DICE when it comes to free DLC:

    "We actually got a lot of flack for giving away free maps. I know it sounds weird, but people got really upset with us. People said: 'if you're giving it away, why couldn't you give it away earlier?' There were a lot of complaints."

Bach said DICE got far more positive feedback after it released the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam expansion pack, which cost money to play.

    "The only thing we've done that was more or less 100% positive was Vietnam: it was a bigger pack and we charged for it, but everyone saw the value, and everyone enjoyed the game.

    It's easier for the consumer of today to comprehend that if you pay for something and you get something big and meaty - it's worth it. When we were giving away small things for free, we actually had people being more upset than happy about it. 'Only three maps? That's not enough.' When we brought it up and said: 'yeah, but it's free?' people said: 'But I would have paid ten dollars for five maps.' 'Well... OK. Let's not talk about this...'"

However, poor and destitute Battlefield players need not worry. DICE still plans to release free DLC for Battlefield 3.

I agree. Besides, i have enough trouble paying attention to one monitor i go have 3? But on the other hand, i shud start playing some lotto to afford such a set up... hmm...
