When I get home im gonna pre-order it on steam to start the early play beta. Load it up na so I have someone to play with.

I think i will just get this for the single player. I am glad that DICE made the Multiplayer but its WAY too identical to BC2.

I think i will just get this for the single player. I am glad that DICE made the Multiplayer but its WAY too identical to BC2.

and also looks like the best of bc2 and mw2 put together. without destructible environment. i rather bc2 Vietnam to this atm. will wait till it comes out and sees what gamers have to say

So who has tried the game, how's it.

Captain was playing the beta last time when I logged into mumble. Let him explain what he thinks of it but so far the only thing i remember him cussing about was the control scheme.

I played a little of it myself...so here are my initial impressions:

So far the game looks and sounds FANTASTIC.  The colours are somewhat muted compared to you-know-what.
The sound is spot on though.  Lets just say my Z-5300 got a workout today.  A lot of sound-effects were 'borrowed' from
BC2...like the reload sound for the Gustav is now the grenade-launcher reload sound.  The cries of downed players are
the same as well.

There seems to be some issues with weapon balance for both factions.  The American weapons seem to be a LOT
more powerful than the insurgent ones.  I won't bore you with specifics, but an AK-47 (7.62mm) round packs MUCH more stopping power
than your average M16 (5.56mm) round, so a lot of times where I fired first (playing as insurgent), I kept getting killed first.
I mean, I'm not a shooter god by any means, but if I get the drop on someone, at least my bullets should be able to kill him
BEFORE he turns around?

What I liked is that you get a mortar strike if you get 3 kills in a row, but getting into position to use it effectively
is the hard part, with the enemy lead flying about.

The two levels presented in the beta are so-so.  You've seen this kind of thing before.  What impressed me so far with the Kabul level
is that the spawn points for both teams keep shifting, depending on where players are concentrated, so there's no spawn trapping
in this one.  *hooray for that*


All in all...a pretty solid effort so far.  In a lot of ways its very similar to BC2, but there's enough here to set both games apart.
I'm confident that DICE will have it in top shape come release...and when the beta really ramps up this coming week, a LOT
more players will be on.

As you all know, I am VERY particular when it comes to my controls. If I cannot set them the way I want, I get vex, and is vex I got when setting them up.

My game crashed a few times just setting up controls alone ie in the config menu, changing certain buttons causes crashing. Poor.

As a result, I had a bad taste in my mouth right through. Yea I was killing people but them controllssss.

The server browser is the worst ive seen. The futher you scroll down the list of servers, the less you see on the screen. VERY weird.

Did I mention that the controls were messed up? Imagine when I set the right arrow for move right, it actually moves you LEFT...and vice versa.

The graphics is on par or slightly better than that of bc2. Gameplay is, to me, best described as a fusion between modern warfare 2 and bc2. This is not a bad thing but I firmly assert that bc2 can achieve the same style of gameplay with the right maps.

Still, bc2 rush is a lot more fun. Honestly I think that the reason why DICE not in a hurry to release maps for it is because they want to make people fedup and go out and buy this game.

Dont get me wrong, MOH is a fun game, but after experiencing bc2, I could have summed up this entire on this game in one simple 3 letter word: 'MEH'


I dont expect any new maps for BC2 and I am almost thoroughly fedup of the existing maps so MOH is the next logical step.

Well Vietnam is the only other thing. Black Ops promises to be good but there's no telling until we see some MP action.

Well after seeing arc playing it.. I bit the bullet and bought it >_> I like it so far lol..since I never really got into bc2 I really am enjoying this one for now.
