Interesting, shows just how ridiculous things were only a few decades ago. I don't read much comics but I am sure there are many subtle and not so subtle racism issues that show up in older ones.

Why was it a problem that it was printed? It seemed to me that the writers were trying to highlight the fact that black people were being wrongfully treated ...
That comic was more of a plea against racism than anything else imo...

Yeah that's what I was trying to say, they were trying to highlight the fact that there was something very wrong with society at the time. I liked the thing Superman said, about him being an alien so he is even more of an outcast...
