It's not 'that hard' its that if you are enthusiastic about something, in this instance PC racing games, then why aren't you sharing it with the larger gaming community? that site you provided is excellent towards this end, and I believe it should have it own thread!. That being said, I am NOT that big into racing games much anymore BUT if I were i'd be posting these titles ongoing. NONE of those games mentioned ring ANY bells, NONE of those games i've EVER SEEN on a review site for hardware.

Why is it that EVERYONE+dog knows what crysis or Farcry 2 is? WHY does world+dog know bout games like Bioshock and Gears of War? Because they are well advertised and EVERYONE sings them praises. I for one appreciate ppl telling me what are good titles from personal experience, linking sites and videos. Men giving out chakra but noone posting links to promote these games AND to top it off, everyone priating. If you like a game, genuinely you should BUY IT. I buy games that I like PC or otherwise cause that promotes the developers or rather it adds to their bottom line.

So to stop hijacking this thread, ppl feel free and by that I mean I ENCOURAGE ppl to post of game titles that are rare gems, addictive or just plain outright AWESOME so that the gaming community casual and otherwise can partake.

fair enough. i DID make a thread to raise awareness of all the lesser known MMORPGs that are out there, but nobody fartin' on it. i also started a "Gems of Foreign Cinema" thread a while back, and that was as popular as Obama in a KKK meeting. so it's kinda discouraging making new threads. but you're right. a thread concerning this topic should be made. and i guess i'll be the man to do it. :sassy:

haven't tried it yet. but i will now.

Well racing games for the PC .... SHOULD be a little more popular than foreign cinema and MMORGPS XD... well we hope anyways. I for one may very well investiquire a game or two. Last racer on the PC i had was NFS MW

tested d speed, thing really hard, taking a corner, u dare not touch d dirt. i juss using hand brakes and drifting round the corners fuh now, i guess once you learn the game, shud be good to go, but if you jump into it expecting regular nfs, yuh wont like it. is a new game, and need to be learned.

^^ wait till yuh real trick out yuh tier 1 car. Boy i gettin my a$$ wash on leguna seca with a 450 hp rx-8. Everything shaking and vibrating and just going nuts. If yuh touch the dirt, yuh likely to spin off. And the AI real aggressive too. This game in my opinion geared towards the hard core racing fan.

The only thing i can't stand about this game is the drifting. TOTAL FAILURE!!! I thought ign and dem just wanted something to complain about but it seem like what they said about the drifting is true.

what im lookin for in the game is the speed effect, in grid i felt like i was standing still, in nfs carbon, when you hit top speed, and yuh vision start to blur, and u crank nos, that speed effect and adrenaline was insane. if this nfs have that, it wil be worth it to master it for me. anybody reach far enough, or get a car fast enough, to tel, if it maintains the nfs speed effect?

edit: hmmmm, quoted from ign "This exceptional cockpit view extends to the game's sense of speed. When you're doing 150mph, you know it. When you're doing 200+mph, you'll get scared. More than pretty much any other racing game I've ever played (and I've played a lot), NFS Shift makes you respect speed. When you get into the later races in the game and get behind the wheel of a Zonda R, Bugatti Veyron or Koenigseggisseggggnignigsegigisegggg CCX, you will actually consider taking your foot (or finger) off the gas in a slight bend because you can feel the car start to get loose."

Need For Speed Shift - Full Nordschleife Lap - Bugatti Veyron

U gguess that  answered my concerns about the speed effect, and that guy handel the car pretty good, for a first race with that car, so with practice, im sure yuh could be makin perfect laps, i think its a buy ppl.

So i just buy a works upgrade for my tier 1 audi TT and all i have to say is DAMN!!!

This thing real engaging boy, you could feel, hear and see the difference in performance and behaviour of the cars. You hardly have time to think before you run into a wall with the speed you going yes. I wouldn't lie eh, this is really one of the best racing games i play in a long time.

Racing fans should definitely give this one a go.
