...but then, building on what Laertes said, if any one party were able to manipulate a section of the
electorate, along ethnic lines, and that section were the majority, we would have a situation where
that party would always win where that ethnic majority was always available.

Thats a serious con right there.

That is the flipside of my suggestion, but on the other hand, it gives some level of proportional representation...I mean, look at COP, they got somewhere between 15-20% of the vote, and nothing to show for it.

Should it be that 1/5 of the country has absolutely no representation in the function of the country?

Well my guess will be that the price will go up by another $1 across the board....maybe more in clubs etc...that's for local beers mind u. Maybe double the jump for those favouring foreign brands.

As you get older and start to value your dollar more, you'll come to realize that beers is a young boy drink, cause no way in hell you paying the same money for a 5% alco beverage when you can page the same (in some cases less) for a rum and coke. XD

And if you planning to drink, you wouldn't do so in a club specifically unless u have a lot of spare change...just saying :)

Well it's still related, as it is a factor that has been manipulated for this budget. It's yet another area that affects a significant portion of the working and middle classes, so you must expect it to turn up as part of the discussion.

..Perhaps the Alco tax and Traffic Citations are to curb accidents? But if they are going to do that, then add a breathalyzer into the mix and kill two birds with one stone...

the alco tax and traffic fine increase was put to make more revenue for the government. they don't care about the accidents

so they say you cannot have a child under 5 years in a car without a childseat.. so what about people who have to use taxis?

I agree with the car seat thing....people to careless thses days when it comes to travelin in cars wit lil kids...i got so mad dey other day about the accident wit the child who died on the highway by gasparillo on her birthday an b-day cake all out on de highway a sunday...
The child was in the front seat on de mothers lap..child flew out the window..a childseat wud hav drastically curb the child chances of fatality...
De saftiest place in an accident is inside ur car yes.
Ah next thing dey does do is put the carseat right where the airbags does deploy in the passenger seat.

De taxi part dey go hadda sort out...

I also saw that is $2000 for illlegal tint...hmmm
