Shadow Complex - Xbox Live Arcade

Ok, for those of you who may not have heard, EPIC released a new Side Scroller on the Xbox 360 Live Arcade yesterday called "Shadow Complex"

I bought that bad boy last night and started the campaign. For fans of the original Metroid games, this game is a nice "fix" for you Metroid junkies. The game so far looks GREAT! The graphics are built on the Unreal 3 Engine and look amazing! There are cut scenes in between all the action that gives it more intensity and story development. The controls are nice and handle great. There are weapon upgrades as you get deeper into the story, starting with just a flashlight at the beginning to automatic rifles and a secret tech suit that enhances your abilities. The game overall so far is loads of fun and I would recommend it. It has alot of replay value as there are alot of items to go searching for to unlock achievements while shooting bad guys and blowing stuff up. I like the boss fights so far, very intense. As with GOW, there is somewhat of a cover system behind steel boxes etc, but simple by just crouching. All in all two thumbs up from me...ENJOY!!

P.S. It'll be the best 1200 MS points you would ever spend

This game is so full of win. Watching some gameplay videos and level run throughs yesterday and I am very impressed.

This is old school 2D side scrolling with the 3D twist...AT ITS BEST...hands down.

You could have easily realized by Cliffy and co. demo'ing this game that it was successful simply by their enthusiasm and how much effort they put into this title. They were so excited to play it, and this was not any kind of fake excitement. Man forget he was being interviewed "Im..Im sorry what?"

game certainly is alot of fun, maybe i'm wrong here but the main characters voice sounded like  nathan drake from uncharted... and i guess u guys gonna find i'm *cheap* but i did use the exploit in the demo to play the full game for FREE!!!  lol

yeh this game really is awesome. kinda reminds me a bit of metroid. Dam u!! MS Dam U!! i reached so far was now finishing up collecting the last 2 mods when i got RROD

Yea, the game rock solid...I actually finished it with 100% of all items and 100% of the map...took me a good 12+ hours of gameplay...still have two more achievements to get...level up to 50 and finish the game with only 13% of items, which means I have to start a new game and just play through to finish it...AMAZING game! As I said when I started this thread, well worth the 1200 MS points..

Castle Crashers is a lot of fun as well, did that trial last night and loved it

Finally got this one.  VERY addictive.  Started playing it last night, and when I check the time,
it was minutes to FOUR this morning. 

Got the scuba mast, and the thrust pack so far.  There are SO many areas where you can't access because you need
the missile or foam upgrade.  It looks like there's quite a bit of backtracking to be done if you want to collect everything.

One thing I like is that you are rewarded for exploring a bit.

GREAT game so far.  Didn't regret the purchase.
