Well there were fans parked up in vans by his house for years. They used to live in their vehicles....apparently they wanted to be closer to Michael. Hmm

Yeah can't say I am surprised....

http://www.thehollywoodgossip.com/2009/06/arnold-klein-biological-father-of-michael-jackson-children/

Michael Jackson used to be married to Debbie Rowe, but neither were the biological parents of the singer's first two children, Michael Jr., 12, and Paris, 11. Their father is Arnold Klein, Jackson's L.A.-based dermatologist and Rowe's former boss, multiple sources confirm to celebrity gossip magazine Us Weekly.

"He is the dad," says an insider of Arnold Klein, who has not commented. "He and Debbie signed an agreement saying they would never reveal the truth."While Debbie Rowe and Michael Jackson never confessed to their kids' true lineage, she did admit in 2002 that she carried his children as a "personal favor."
Neither has confirmed that the marriage was ever consummated.
"I said, 'Let me do this. You need to be a dad. You have been so good to me,'" Rowe - who met Jackson when she was a nurse's assistant in the 1980s - has said.

News that Michael Jackson is not the biological father of any of his kids surfaced earlier today. Now we've learned he never legally adopted them either. Neither Jackson nor Debbie Rowe are the biological parents of Michael Jr. and Paris. Nor is Michael the biological parent of Prince Michael Jackson II.

Jackson never filed legal papers to adopt any of his children. Legal experts say Jackson would be presumed the father but it's not conclusive by any means.
As for why Jackson didn't formally adopt them - some speculate at the time they were born, there was no third party he though would try to claim custody.

Jackson apparently never thought Rowe would mount a custody battle, which wasn't totally absurd, as she actually tried to give up all rights to them once.
However, the music icon's death at the age of 50 last Thursday, along with today's developments, has everyone guessing where the children will end up.

Have Media Overplayed Jackson Story?

http://www.adweek.com/aw/content_display/news/media/e3i0c7b757cfdc666c2bd4f24d2b551af6a

NEW YORK Nearly two in three Americans said news organizations gave too much coverage to the sudden death of Michael Jackson in the days following his June 25 heart attack in Los Angeles, according to the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press.

While 64 percent deemed media attention to the 50-year-old pop superstar excessive, 29 percent thought it was appropriate and only 3 percent thought there was not enough coverage.

As reports of Jackson's death dominated media coverage at week's end, 30 percent of those surveyed during June 26-29 said they followed those stories "very closely," with that level similar to the 28 percent who said they followed the death of NBC newsman Tim Russert very closely in June 2008 and the 30 percent who followed the death of crocodile hunter Steve Irwin very closely in September 2006. Nonetheless, interest in Jackson's death is far less than the 54 percent who said they followed the sudden deaths of John F. Kennedy Jr. in July 1999 and Princess Diana in September 1997.

Half of those surveyed said the media struck the right balance between reporting on Jackson's musical legacy, forged over the past four decades, and his problematic personal life. Some 26 percent said the media focused too much on the scandals in Jackson's life; 11 percent thought the coverage weighed too heavily on Jackson's musical career.

African Americans followed the death of the singer more closely than the population as a whole. Eight in 10 African Americans said they followed news about Jackson's death very closely, compared with 22 percent of whites. Women followed the story more closely than men; 35 percent said they very closely paid attention compared to 26 percent for men. While Jackson hadn't released a big hit in 20 years, 38 percent of those under 40 said they followed the music icon's death very closely, compared with 27 percent of those between 40 and 64 and 20 percent of those 65 and older.

A separate analysis of media coverage by the Pew Research Center's Project for Excellence in Journalism showed that for the entire week of June 22-28 Jackson's death and the bloody unrest after the disputed Iranian elections received similar levels of media coverage. The protests in Iran made up 19 percent of the news hole for the week, while the Jackson story accounted for 18 percent. But from the time the Jackson story broke Thursday afternoon, June 25, to the end of the day Friday, 60 percent of the news coverage studied was devoted to his death, life story and legacy, according to PEJ. The coverage of Iran slid to 7 percent of the news hole in that same time period.

This is sorta creepy....

Jackson's hair to be turned to diamonds

http://au.news.yahoo.com/a/-/odd/5750217/jacksons-hair-to-be-turned-to-diamonds/

Since Michael Jackson's sudden death on June 25, the rumour mill over details of his bizarre personal life has ground away nearly non-stop.

One company says it is turning his hair into diamonds. That one is true.

In one by-product of the pop star's death, a Chicago company says it has obtained some of the hair Jackson burned while filming a 1984 Pepsi commercial and planned to create a limited edition of diamonds from it.

"Absolutely this is for real," said Dean VandenBiesen, founder of LifeGem, which has a patent on a process that extracts carbon from hair, turns it into crystals and then into high-quality laboratory diamonds.

Mr VandenBiesen said he thought the company could make about 10 diamonds.

No sale price has been set but Mr VandenBiesen said LifeGem created three diamonds from locks of Beethoven's hair in 2007 and sold one of them for around $200,000.

Autopsy: Jackson was in good overall health

Autopsy: Jackson was in good overall health
None of pop star’s medical issues was life-threatening, document reveals

LOS ANGELES - Michael Jackson’s arms were covered with punctures, his face and neck were scarred and he had tattooed eyebrows and lips, but he wasn’t the sickly skeleton of a man portrayed by tabloids, according to his autopsy report obtained by The Associated Press.

In fact, the Los Angeles County coroner’s report shows Jackson was a fairly healthy 50-year-old before he died of an overdose.

His 136 pounds were in the acceptable range for a 5-foot-9 man. His heart was strong with no sign of plaque buildup. And his kidneys and most other major organs were normal.
Story continues below ↓advertisement | your ad here

Still, Jackson had health issues: arthritis in the lower spine and some fingers, and mild plaque buildup in his leg arteries. Most serious was his lungs, which the autopsy report said were chronically inflamed and had reduced capacity that might have left him short of breath.

However, according to the document, the lung condition was not serious enough to be a direct or contributing cause of death.

“His overall health was fine,” said Dr. Zeev Kain, chairman of the anesthesiology department at the University of California, Irvine, who reviewed a copy of the autopsy report for the AP. “The results are within normal limits.”

Jackson died at his rented Los Angeles mansion June 25 after his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, administered the anesthetic propofol and two other sedatives to get the chronic insomniac to sleep, court documents state. Propofol, normally a surgical anesthetic used in operating rooms, acts as a respiratory depressant and requires constant monitoring.

When Murray realized Jackson was unresponsive, he began frantic efforts to revive him but Jackson never regained consciousness and was declared dead at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center.

Though the full autopsy report has not been publicly released, the coroner’s office announced last month that Jackson’s death was a homicide caused by “acute propofol intoxication,” with the other sedatives listed as a contributing factor. They said the standard of care for administering propofol was not met and the recommended equipment for patient monitoring, precision dosing and resuscitation was missing.
