Hello all,

Since we are made to suffer by being blocked from purchasing DLC because apparently we are a tiny spec on the planet, I had scoured the internet for a way to bypass. I found a temporary solution which no longer works.

I used hotspot shield and entered my code on xbox.com to unlock some gears 2 content and it worked. I didint need to install ipvacy to complete the process as the content dowloaded 100% once it was on my download queue. Thanks for the info and hope ot helps others too

First off, you could have used the trial for content dlc for games, our testing showed it couldn't determine bandwidth with XBL DLC. The most I can say is that there should be different IP addresses to which you can connect for different regions. Contact them.

Make sure your firewall/s is off, also make sure the device that is connecting is setup for DHCP not static IP addressing.

I have a question regarding these VPN things. If I set up one would I be able to view Amazon's instant videos? Would hiding my IP address be sufficient?

That's not really a question anyone can definitively answer without having tested it themselves. If you have a Prime account, perhaps someone can test it for you though.

Hiding you IP address is sufficient, however bandwidth would then become your problem. You inherently lose bandwidth by using a VPN with encryption, but beyond that is the size of the pipe that you will get from these services. Additionally thing like having a US addy VISA or payment, etc might affect whether your account can access media outside of the US.

I guess I am going to have to be the one to try it out and report. I guess the only thing to overcome is the credit card. I wonder if the vtm would be an alternative?

The best site i used for downloading the maps and it's not a software, was http://www.usvideo.org
if u go there now you will see all the instruction available for all the console (xbox, PS3, WII and even PC). you just need to register an email, any email that you have i think to verify your ip address and then you click on the link that they send to your email that you give back to the website. the only thing that you change in the setting is the DNS and that is a 7 days trial with a chance to view last fm, netfilxs and espn. After the 7 days the only thing that work is the ESPN live hd sports well some of them. unless you are willing to pay $5us a mth or $50us a yr. then you will have everything working.
back to downloading the maps. after you set up the dns start downloading the map pack with the dns on it will take long to download, so what you do is to start the download and at around 5% stop it. put your dns back to auto, go to download history in the xbox settings and redownload the map pack it will do it fast depending on the internet speed that you have. on 99% it will stop for it self. go back and put the dns back to the one that usvideo gave you it will be there still once you click on manual. and then do the same steps as i said above:from going back to the xbox download history and redownloading the file. and there you have your maps and any thing else you need. and you don't have to dip in your pockets and pay those dump @#$% any money. so to all of u out there who want to swindle money from the same guys that you game with, the secret is out and it is for FREEEEE. a i ask for when ever you seen trinihandofgod is a Heineken so we can toast for havin a forum like this to link TRUE GAMERS

It wont work with US video that way since you need a VPN to truly mask your IP from xbox live. ESPN doesnt work with us video

Hey.. i also want to bypass region blocking through VPN. but i could find a good VPN service. I went on to search for a good VPN service so i cam across this website

http://www.bestvpnservice.com/vpn-providers.php

it lists around i think 100 VPN services. i got one from there and i think it might help you guys aswell. I am now able to play geo-restricted games online :) ... I just want to ask one thing will it also help my connection secure from hackers or what, as it is claimed on many vpn service's sites.

I'm using MicroVPN they have pretty good bandwidth to the point i could watch rented movies from Zune on XBL in full HD

it allowed me to get the both map packs and ESPN with ease

Can the guys who got working configurations post them to aid the slow ones in our mids (like me).

Something like this:
VPN service provider:
Services accessed:
Internet speed recommended for what:
Payment method: (some say local CC works, some say no.
Anything else that is needed for the service to work.
Success does not happen by accident.
