This game has surpassed ALL my expectations in every way possible oui. (and I had high ones to begin with)

Honestly I can't think of any other rpg that is as engaging, fun, polished, and challenging (in a good way).

This is from someone who has played Baldurs Gate 1 @ 2, Neverwinter Nights 1 @ 2 (and all expansions), KOTR 1 @ 2, Jade Empire and Mass Effect

(only beaten the Kotr 1 @ 2 Mass Effect and Jade Empire though)

I give this a 9.8/10 so far, only issue for me is that I might have preferred a 5 man party, and sometimes the combat could be a little frustrating(SERIOUSSSSSS MICRO), but those 2 issues do not break this game in anyway.

Highly Recommended...

Although this is party based and witcher is a one man show rpg, and some might say they cant be compared, Id still say witcher as great as it was (ending was dissapointing) cant hold a candle to this, no way no how...

I'm assuming you playing this on PC. I heard the console versions are pale versions of the pc port not even taking into considerations the obvious graphical boost on pc.

My main reason for not getting this is its a RPG and while I love RPGs I no longer have the time to game like I once did. RPGs require a lot of time and really require you not to take long breaks between playing (like days or weeks) as its hard to remember where you left of.

Graphically the game is better on PC...but not by a huge amount. Have both versions. Just finished it actually. This has got to be the most satisfying storyline I have played in a game since....well i cant say when...maybe Sands of Time i guess. Few games can really make you feel for characters. Your decisions dont just affect the game, but affect the end and the characters. Well made title.

he prob finished the main story, when you start playing it it hard to move from the main story when it going to bleedy good

40 hours core gameplay, probably 60 hours with side quests and download content. There are no "rerun for xp" zones, so when you clear an area it stays clear. I explored every dungeon i was in for the main quest chain, but i did leave out the side quests that did fall in line with where the main story was going. I started off doing all the side quests at the beginning and stopped a bout 1/4 way into the game. I did some here and there if they were along the way of the main quest chain.

I wont have time to go back to play the game but some advice to those playing and are unfamiliar with "instance" runs eg. WoW, Lineage etc.

1. you MUST have a tank or i guarantee you will regret it later on.
2. If you dont have a healer you should stockup WELL on health potions. Did some research and found the merchants that sell unlimited reagents for them. you will NEED them in the final battle.
