buying a 22 inch lcd monitor

I'm looking to buy a 22'' widescreen lcd monitor today.

i'm caught between an aoc 2216vw and a samsung sync master (don't have exact model). the samsung is sold at the wizz computers.

Has anyone had any experience with either. the samsung is costing $225 more btw. both monitors have dvi

can attest to samsungs good quality as i have a syncmaster 940nw... But what i've seen is that aoc's tend to have a bit more sharp colours but the samsungs have warmer tones.... I'm not master but a observation between a couple i've seen... Anyone else got a comment to add???

i don't kno the samsung model, i just kno the wizz selling em cuz a padna ught one last week and it working bess. but i studying betwen the aoc and samsung cuz the samsung cheaper.

btw the price of the samsung is dscount reseller price. i don't kno the customer's price

Model can make or break. That is critical.

Personally, I'd go with Samsung as it is a stronger brand in the lcd world.

You also have to consider your usage. If you're gaming, the most important aspect will be response time or refresh rate. Many monitors claim 4-8ms (which is where you want to be) but it is actually only on the grayscale side of things... also if you're into photography there are colour properties you have to consider... there are colour standards that we usually don't realize exist (I had a discussion recently about this with a colleague whos heavily into photography at HIGH RES). There is your standard cmyk or whaev there is an Adobe colour standard, etc.... basically it comes down to how high the res is and colour saturation, etc. N00b wasn't there a thread with this? I could swear I have posted on this already...
