Well that was pretty much a no lol.

http://www.gamerankings.com/pc/997958-star-wars-the-force-unleashed-ii/index.html

agreed @ no

With a score of 56% it maybe worth the price....but it may not be worth the TIME!

@arcmanov

lol @ hurrihan

That price for MW2 is more than worth the campaign if anyone hasn't played it.

Hacking need not apply.

No issues connecting to steam here Zerk.

back to the sale action

Tales of Monkey Island, the complete pack for $8.75

http://store.steampowered.com/app/31170/

Now, I am a big adventure gamer (most wouldn't believe)

Grew up on Hero's Quest....which was later renamed to Quest for Glory, Police's Quest, King's Quest...and well you get the picture.

Had hoped Monkey Island would have been a similar rump but along the line of Pirates in the Caribbean.

Bought it and wasn't impressed. The game has good reviews (upwards of 80% on the meta) but still didn't resonate with me.

You mileage may vary.

I've always wanted to play it, but it keeps getting bumped down on that list of games to play next, maybe i might consider it now. Will decide when i get home.

@ Wyatt Monkey Island is a game for the explorer type of game and has quirky puzzles and mysteries to solve.
It's true it got a high review, but it's always best to get both a site review as well as a "Trini" review of a game before trying it :) From the mind of George Lucas this masterpiece lives on.

IF swashbuckling is your thing, there is a few MMO's and even the games made from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie itself, but the latter has to be taken with a pinch of salt.... :ko:

hmmmm this one looks like its for a younger type of gamer with those graphics, although its all about game play that makes a title a winner, plants vs zombie is a prime example. For me tho this is only to play if I am not playing anything atm.

I played the original monkey island back in 199something on my apple centris 610, and its a bess game, doh say is a younger crowd etc. It's a puzzle game and it's reminiscent of the kings' quest type games of past. Worth the money for all ages imho.

If only that were true W1ntry.

I wanted that "old school kings quest type experience"

This new Monkey Island did not deliver on that for me, not one bit.

I'd name my daughter Sierra, as homage to those old adventure games. This did not inspire that sort of emotion at all.

morbid is an understatement .....I think I just went into depression after playing thru half of it just now   :ko:

but the mechanics of it cool and its pretty simple to play never died but that was because I watched most of it on youtube before I bought it
