you can get l4d, mass effect, fable and tons more on the PC.Other than halo 3 and gears 2, what is the compelling reason to get an xbox 360 (multiplayer wise?)
On the other hand, Friday night on 360..LEVEL gaming with Trinis. I log in and see 5 rooms FULL of Trini's playing Gears to HALO to WaW to Street Fighter....you dive in a chat room "Aye fellas was up""nun sweating some Gears""I comming in""come na...we go cut yuh @ss""Aight......"3 hours later"Aye lewee play some Halo na?""Yea yea..hol on KFC reach""Yea yea yea Slayer lewee go"and so we goin. I enjoy that all the time. To me that is where the experience is, the lime, the sweat and just good fun.
nice thing with 360 is u hav different choices of games wen it comes to sweat, not so on PSN. if u want sweat on PSN u only got 1 choice.
Then see if we can double the playstation 3 community by the end of the year (got a few tricks up my sleeve that are in progress)deal?
only way i see PSN for trini's to become better is if we plan in a thread from early what games we all agree on getting, that way we will know up front who to send the invites to... i'm really hoping for uncharted 2 and modern warfare 2
...and this is why (I've said it before, and I'm saying it again) Sony's PSN boffinsneed to admit to themselves that their model is somehwhat lacking, and that the XBLmodel is the way to go. If it means a redesign of the dashboard, and a pay-for onlineservice, then so be it. It will make PSN a WHOLE LOT more accessible.
lol @ speak of heaven.its interesting to hear that the 360 scene so lively despite the failure rate and the subscription fee for online play.I know people who went through four 360 units and yet they still continue to replace the console, despite the bad experience. lolMicrosoft must be on to something. Lacing cocaine in those boxes.
Gaming is expensive (if you didnt realize by now) deal with it.
when they are talking about xbox live the main reason all of that is possible cause xbox has "party chat" which works cross games as well... also the friend list on xbox live makes much more sense as it shows the game the person is playing, who they are currently playing with and if there is space for you to join in... on PSN its all guess work, most times when u message someone if there in the middle of a fire fight, u'd have to wait till they reach back in the lobby before they send u a *TEXT* reply, on XBL they can hit the guide button and switch voice chat between "Party, Game, Private" voice chat which speeds up the process... Personally i don't really think the ps3 has the capability for cross game chat with such limited memory (tho i hope i'm wrong) but the system really wasn't designed with that in mind...
That free online play is an AWFUL idea. It has been with MMO's it is with this, it will always be.Understand FIRST, we not dealing with a "trini" server setup here. From the time you tell a US company that you are PAYING for a service they damn well know people dont mind paying for it provided they get what they pay for. In other words the company is FORCED to provide the service that is expected, remember there is competition with online gaming on consoles (making it a paid process is even better for competition, raising the bar of both consoles). Not to mention now that you are paying you have a SAY in the online service. Major Nelson on LIVE is that PRIME example. The head of XBOX LIVE has his own site dedicated ONLY to the community, their ideas and implementation, which is happening quite often on LIVE now, most recently with avatar updates, chat updating and download memory for LIVE"NA NA I eh paying for no online thing" - says the naysayer. Welcome to 10 years later, we not ONLY playing Quake2 and SOF2 (good lord) anymore.Gaming is expensive (if you didnt realize by now) deal with it.
This is pretty much the real reason more people do not play PS3 games together it IS a hassle setting up games etc, when compared to the 360. I mean even if a man does not have a mic u could still invite him in and he can hear ur commands etc. In the current state of PSN it is very difficult just to join on someone.
