You mean in brackets or something so? or withing the thread itself?

Thinking about it there are genres I frequent alot (cyberpunk/sici-fi,horror, psychological to action etc). So maybe we could work something out.

Nice recommendations Rage, they are all good anime especially mushi-shi. So anyways here is one to appeal to the gamer crowd that's pretty new and interesting

this one was really good as well im hoping for a part 2

then there is this one which was alright but the ending disappointed alittle

the last two are not that new but for those who missed it

Deadman Wonderland was wicked could have used more episodes to flesh it out a little, def ended like a set up for another season.

Yea I see some of the posts in the anime thread don't even have at least 2 responses but look at the views.

hoss i tried guilty crown and deleted that ish so fast eh. Found it was utter crap from the few i watched. Did it get better after 3 episodes? That first episode was particularly terrible.

good job on finding a series i don't have Rebirth. lol. i usually acquire a show after in ends, so that why i haven't gotten Sword Art Online yet. looks good from the trailer tho. looking forward to seeing it. Deadman Wonderland was cool, but as Archer said, it could have used more eps. i have Guilty Crown too, but haven't watched it yet. kinda skeptical now with what Berzerk said. lol.

Sword Art Online had so much potential to be beyond epic but they mired it with a ton of emo side quests.

It's like it was lost looking for an identity between Shōjo and Shōnen.

Out of the 9 episodes I've seen thus far, three felt like the main story arc while the rest had the quality of fillers.

Those three easily would be rated 9 out of 10 while the rest more in the meh territory of 5 out of 10

Here are some Ive watched, currently watching..

1. Fairy Tail

Quote
The series follows the adventures of Lucy Heartfilia, a teenage wizard who joins the titular wizards' guild and teams up with fellow guild member Natsu Dragneel as he searches for the dragon Igneel

This takes awhile to pick up, but when it does, it is pretty engaging. Love the characters, but this is shonen through and through. It aint deep, but its pretty fun. Reminds me of One Piece minus the tremendous amounts of filler.

2. Ao No Exorcist

Quote
The story revolves around Rin Okumura, a teenager who discovers he is the son of Satan born from a human woman and is the inheritor of Satan's powers. When Satan kills his guardian, Rin decides to become an exorcist in order to defeat his father.

3. Fate Zero

Quote
Fate/Zero takes place 10 years prior to the events of Fate/stay night, detailing the events of the 4th Holy Grail War in Fuyuki City.[2]. The War of the Holy Grail is a contest in which seven mages summon seven Heroic Spirits to compete to obtain the power of the "Holy Grail," which grants a miracle. After three inconclusive wars for the elusive Holy Grail, the Fourth War commences.

This anime was just pure awesome. Action was extremely well choreographed, the story flowed and kept me engaged, and the characters were all well done. I was just pissed when it ended. I want moar!

Its a prequel to Fate stay the night, which ive heard was mess, (Didn't watch yet though) but dont let that keep u away. I highly recommend this.

well that's why i always wait till a series is complete before give it a recommendation. might get better before the end, who knows.

@ Berzerk. haven't started any of those shows yet. i have them, but i'm kinda waiting for Ao No Exorcist and Fate/Zero to be dubbed (yes i said dubbed. u try watching 500+ show subbed and talk. lol).

Speaking of the ludicrous number of episodes...might be a good idea to include that info in the post.

Just realized Fairy Tail clocking 140+ episodes.

Not willing to make that kind of commitment just yet, lol

Some broad categories maybe?

1 - 26

27 - 52

52+

Just so we know what sort of thing we are getting ourselves into when we start watching.

LOL. I hate dubs, but their are the occasional good one. Fate Zero is like 25 episodes, and id recommend anyone get into it with the quickness. Loved it.

sweet @ 25 episodes

I find that to be the sweet spot

Enough time to develop a story and characters without fillers and that "young and restless" style dragging out of scenes that you often see in the 100+ anime series.

Beserk all those series you posted was rrrrrreeallly good

Fairy tail - Its a good anime but i find it very repetitive tho. Basically they always end up fighting a reallly strong opponent and natsu gets some random powerup during the fight that makes him win e.g eating something with and attribute of fire

Ao No exorcist - Really good short series very different storyline from what you usually get but was well done

Fate/zero - alittle slow pace at times but was still worth the watch

idk about watching dubbed things nah i hate that. I took in one piece from eps 1 - 563+ all subbed

Oh btw guys the near part of Roruni Kenshin is out the kyoto Ova..still raw tho
@wyatt - you know they have to put alot of side series to fill up the series for a show right? Almost all anime has that

Exactly. Which is why I tend to frequent those more or for the most 50eps. Making my way through 2 new titles as we speak and a few movies, all within the sci-fi genre so my next post is for the sci-fi fans.

I always say that ppl who don't like dubs haven't watched a dubbed series in a long time. I switched from subbed only to dubs because of the improvements in overall voice acting. Sure u still get the lame ones like Naruto, but it's VERY rare these days. Shows like Lagann, Ippo and Hellsing are just some of the shows that the English dubs are just as good (if not better in some parts) as the Japanese.

I'll start putting the episode number to my posts too.

^^Add to that Cowboy Bebop, Black Lagoon and Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex to name a few more. Those dubs were fricking awesome and really added more depth to the characters.
