Comeuppances were served like it was going out of style, WITH fries and cokes.  :laughing7:

For ONCE I could say: 'Oh LORD...it good!!!  IT GOOOODDDD!!!'

A satisfying end to an even better season, actor replacements notwithstanding.

...and as Spartacus: Vengeance ends, Game Of Thrones begins.  Good Times.

Fringe is going to fifth and final season, despite terrible ratings. Good.

Game of Thrones episode 5 was decent.

Hate having to wait a whole week for another though. Moving along so slowly.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shameless_%28U.S._TV_series%29

Quote
The series follows the dysfunctional family of Frank Gallagher, a single father of six children. While he spends his days drunk, his kids learn to take care of themselves.

The show's producers sought to distinguish it from previous American working-class shows by highlighting how Frank's alcoholism affects his family.[5] Paul Abbott, creator of the original, said, "It's not My Name Is Earl or Roseanne. It's got a much graver level of poverty attached to it. It's not blue collar; it's no collar."[5] When John Wells, the showrunner, began pitching the show, he had to fight efforts to place the show in the South or in a trailer park. He explained, "We have a comedic tradition of making fun of the people in those worlds. The reality is that these people aren't 'the other' — they're people who live four blocks down from you and two blocks over".[5]

Dunno if its been done before but Im adding the US version of Shameless to this thread. Fun comedy with good moments of drama. After watching the first episode of season 1 I was instantly hooked. Finished season 1 making my way through season 2 these days.

interesting. nice find.

Mass Effect 3 music at the beginning of the trailer and Vast - Touched at the end.

Boss boss tracks.

Would have preferred this be a movie though than a series.

I haven't read the entire thread but if no one has mentioned The Wire let me do so now.
Relatively unknown, under appreciated, but probably the finest television series I've ever seen. Was actually the favourite show of Obama as well actually.

I've seen all of Sopranos, but The Wire is easily HBO's greatest masterpiece.

Revolution looks very nice but knowing my luck and the current gen tv audience it'll probably be cancelled before first season.

Ok so I need some help. This thread recommended me to Spartacus, Misfits and Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones, Spartacus, Misfits and The Walking Dead are the best stuff I've seen in years. Can anyone recommend me a series to watch that is on that caliber? Not really looking for comedy unless it is done like how it is in Misfits.

Thanks

Crixx gave the heads up on this.

Three episodes of season 2 are now out!

Just finished this charming little series. Not what you'd expect from the premise of an alien invasion.

It's almost like a wholesome family sitcom with good ol' values to the backdrop of mech and machine gun fire in a postapocalyptic era.

Nice piece of sci-fi, if a bit low on the sci.....not to be missed if you're into that sort of thing.

"Pope" steals the show. every scene he is in with the best lines ever...lol. The irony on his name is not lost. A nefarious gang leader with a sum total of zero scruples named Pope. Aside from being a killer, explosives expert and narcissist, he's also a gourmet chef. Gotta love it.

Forgot to mention, Moon Bloodgood pwns my base as well. damn!

Steven Spielberg is at the helm. This actually drew me away from Terra Nova (which while enjoyable, did not live up to the hype)

Falling Skies is no filler for the void left by Battlestar Galactica but it was a solid series. I'd give it a firm 8 harnessed aliens out of 10.

And apparently, I wasn't alone in that thought. It's been renewed for a second season which should be out summer 2012

So I finally decided to start watching Breaking Bad, Dexter and Spartacus. All at the same time.

Big mistake. I haven't been able to concentrate on anything since starting. They're that damn epic. Why de a$$ didn't I start watching these sooner!?! ಠ_ಠ
