Just watched the first episode of Beavis and Butt-Head for 2011, it's like they never left. Was awesome.

In this modernized version of the Conan Doyle characters, using his detective plots, Sherlock Holmes lives in early 21st century London and acts more cocky towards Scotland Yard's detective inspector Lestrade because he's actually less confident. Doctor Watson is now a fairly young veteran of the Afghan 'peace-keeping' fights, less adoring and more active.

Stars Martin Freeman aka Bilbo Baggins as Watson

This is another good UK series, stars Idris Elba (Heimdall in Thor). Also the redhead is one of the craziest chicks on TV.

"Luther" follows the cases of a troubled yet brilliant English police detective, DCI John Luther (Idris Elba). Separated from his wife, whom he loves passionately, he is torn between an unrelenting approach to solving serial killings and his attempts to rekindle his marriage. Luther is a highly charged emotional man who is not above stretching the law to solve a case or save a life. In episode one, Alice Morgan (Ruth Wilson) proves she is equally brilliant by committing the perfect murder of her parents, which challenges Luther as never before. Alice develops a strange fascination for Luther and their continued exchanges and interplay serve as a backdrop for the rest of the season. Luther's edgy police tactics make him a serious concern to his superiors, who feel that he is a threat to their reputations and that of the Police force. From the opening credits to the end of season one, "Luther" is a fast paced mystery presented with many plot twists and insights into the human psyche.

The Sherlock Series has me riveted. Great plot and mix of elements from the classic. Yea 6 eps might be too short, but so far they got the genre down tight.

Anyways, Falling Skies is now out.

Just finished this charming little series. Not what you'd expect from the premise of an alien invasion.

It's almost like a wholesome family sitcom with good ol' values to the backdrop of mech and machine gun fire in a postapocalyptic era.

Nice piece of sci-fi, if a bit low on the sci.....not to be missed if you're into that sort of thing.

"Pope" steals the show. every scene he is in with the best lines ever...lol. The irony on his name is not lost. A nefarious gang leader with a sum total of zero scruples named Pope. Aside from being a killer, explosives expert and narcissist, he's also a gourmet chef. Gotta love it.

Forgot to mention, Moon Bloodgood pwns my base as well. damn!

Steven Spielberg is at the helm. This actually drew me away from Terra Nova (which while enjoyable, did not live up to the hype)

Falling Skies is no filler for the void left by Battlestar Galactica but it was a solid series. I'd give it a firm 8 harnessed aliens out of 10.

And apparently, I wasn't alone in that thought. It's been renewed for a second season which should be out summer 2012
