I was very very reluctant to watch Game of Thrones. I was afraid after watching Spartacus any series with swordplay would just be a spartacus-lite. Boy was I wrong!! I just watched the first episode and I am hooked, cant wait for work to finish to watch some more.

ok so i just concluded Gods of The Arena, right after Blood and Sand...

and i must say, except for the excessive/unnecessary cussin (i could swear Jupiter's c0ck woulda show up in the credits to) and the times when you figure is a skinemax, both series was excellent.

i real like how they did GOTA, they tie everything up nicely, after watching it i feel to watch over Blood and Sand lol...

and yall say game of thrones could compete... i'll have to get started on that one time

Game of thrones = the best ever. finished the first season yesterday and can't wait for the second.

definitely not a show to watch with family tho.

yeah, GOT ain't on the same level in terms of action as Blood & Sand/GOTA

But its right up there with Rome in terms of storyline and grit

Saw this advertised on cable, thought it was some cheesy US action series. Turns out its a UK series, and its quite good.

series is decent,brutal, gory and lots of unexpected things happen. It took yuh expectations and turned them on its head. nothing like twilight and that nonsense if that's what u thinking.

i watch 2 episodes of vampire diary.. the first one i watch by accident and it seemed interesting so i watch the second one... was mess... look like "gossip girl" with vampires lol

Same with True Blood, I swore that was just the same as that Twilight shit but then I watched it; very adult, violent and surreal. To each his own yes but I really stand by my view that Vamp. Diaries is utter bullcrap. Should be called Vampire Fairies instead

Hmm to each his own oui. Vampire Diaries picked up a lot later on. tone of show changed completely. I myself didn't like it at all initially, but decided to give it a chance. (Heck the main chick was an eye catcher)

With Tru Blood, the main character Sookie is utterly dense, and quite annoying, her best friend lives like a disaster on wheels, and the supernatural elements of the show come across kinda forced, and don't fit with the feel of the rest of the show.
Also find that for the last couple seasons it starts off decent then boils down and rushes at the end. Literally had to force myself to watch out end of season 2. Didnt bother with season 3. show feels dry, boring and uninspired.
Show just aint entertaining to me.
