This guy has had the game for a month and says the one thing that could break Killzone 2 is the control scheme :s

For those with the demo what do you think of the controls?

errr the controls were different when compared to call of duty, unreal tournament, far cry 2 etc...
But a little practice and its all good.

The controls seem fine to me. Only thing I had to get accustomed to was the different button layout from R2.

Where you hear this from? As far as I know no PS3 games or DLC is region locked. I have download LBP dlc from the Japan store already, granted it was free DLC but it was not region locked.

UPDATE - It appears the paid DLC is indeed region locked. While nearly all PS3 games are region free the developer may still region lock DLC.

Another good review from Ars Technica, wow haven't seen a negative review of this game yet.....

http://arstechnica.com/gaming/reviews/2009/02/the-middle-of-an-endless-war-ars-reviews-killzone-2.ars

They didn't like the constant loading however with no hard drive install option. Do they normally add this ability after a game is released?

I just played the demo....

I

am

SPEECHLESS...

Keep in mind I did not watch ANY gameplay videos or trailers.
I purposely avoided em just to see if this game actually DOES live up to all the hype.

Not only does it LIVE up to the hype...it RUNS up to the hype, SHOOTS it in the FACE, and GRENADES the remains!!!

Too bad I'll have to wait till March month end to buy it. (Unless somebody want to lend me one?  :))

I bought the game yesterday and cuss the living daylights out of it because of sluggish controls.

I took a break and was seriously contemplating on returning it the next day. I went back to it and tweaked my controls and found it MUCH more responsive. It takes some getting used to but it is well worth it.

Those that know me may know.....i have alpha and beta tested this game, even concept stage tested it where we were falling through floors and having op'd weapons. *got it for 10 bucks 3 days prior to launch from the SD SONY store* shhhhhhhh ...but couldnt go on the public servers with it till release

Visually this game is hands down amazing. It may not be the BEST looking i have played on a console (yes those of you know the tv i use) but it is DAMMMMMN close. Its got sharp visuals, and a nice loooooooong draw distance when needed. Especially for online maps...which are HUGE.

Controls are the drawback here. Default controls are a good quarter second off in response time which can easily be fixed with increasing the sensitivity. When that is settled you need to get accustomed to other things, like being able to carry one gun at a time and the delayed (in comparison to other games) for grenade throwing.

First time i threw a grenade i almost blew myself up. The time it takes to release and throw is about 2 seconds...which is not instantaneous like a COD style game or otherwise.

On the OTHER hand.....throwing ALL THAT aside. This game is the DEFINITIVE shooter for the PS3. SONY took a gamble with those controls and it has paid off. People will be willing to cast aside their other FPS titles to play this game. It REEEEEEEEKS of leetness.

I miss the co-op option, but that is not why we bought this game.

I want SONY to advertise the living DAYLIGHTS out of this game...i want everyone and they motherinlaw to know bout this....you see Buju? The Vagrant at UWI who does walk up and down infront the place.....HE hadda know Killzone 2 out on PS3

KZ2 delivers. in spades. 360 got Gears and Halo?.......FINALLY PS3 got something to say. They got KZ2
