if y'all have a local server let me kno

or add me at Eagle_66 ingame so I can join the server.
Just have to ask... does a 'local' server imply a hacked server that someone local is running or does it mean a server local to our area run by EA? Had to ask cause if it's the former then doesn't that mean supporting pirating and is the blight of the PC world which makes ppl do things that certain members of this forum HATE... like NO DEDICATED SERVERS? Just curious...

yes as in local server run by EA (i have the game original via steam). I have seen servers from England, USA, France, Germany and half of Europe an haven't seen any from here................yet. The only servers I look for is mostly Tactical servers and I just got out of a great run in the 82nd Airborne Tactical Server. thinking bout heading back later after dinner but the lag is still kicking my arse from time to time.

I love this game BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD!!! Make you work hard for your unlocks instead of acquiring them easily. Communications is very vital i hate lone wolfs.

By the way Wyatt i didnt get your friend request.
Hey Red and every other player who has no beef with MW2... did the MW2hater just say LAG? Did I read right? dedicated servers and LAG??? I thought that was a peer2peer player based server issue... Also I read hating lone wolf... well in this you definitely can't go lone wolf... but when yuh have NO to squad (which is very possible, ppls timing isn't always good) it SUCKS, and ppl rather NOT PLAY IT... WOW... so unlike MW2 where I can drop in ANY time and play on a squad I don't KNOW and still PWN I can't do that with this can I? So baiscally this is a 'seasonal' game.

N.B. I do like BF BC2 ppl, the fact that I own it and am playing it in the next 5 mins is proof of this, I am just asking what I consider fair questions to ppl that real HATE on another title I like but the current 'saviour'  title isn't quite pwning the way it should... funny that

Just now is placards and picket fencing (whip out the paint.net/gimp/photoshop)

I'm tempted to come to the game's defense but will hold my tongue and simply say, despite it's shortcomings, it's a blast to play. (rhyme unintentional)

Ah W1nTry... *smiles*

*clears throat*

Did anyone BUT Reaper complain of lag?

*reads back 5 or so PAGES of posts*

I dunno, maybe it seems like a problem on his end, or maybe I might be dyslexic.
I know when I use the server browser to browse all the wonderful DEDICATED SERVERS that are out there,
I can sort by ping, and, wait for it, I get TO CHOOSE WHICH SERVER TO PLAY ON!!!  :awesome:  ...and not get thrown into some random lagfest.

You keep blowing your trumpet about the clearly inferior Xbox 360 version, but guess what: your experience is not ours.
Call me elitist.  Thats YOUR business.  I prefer to play the superior version.

I also see you also complaining about the gameplay.  Its not MW2.  Its as simple as that.  Get over it.
I'm not about to debate which game is more 'realistic', but you've played em both, so you know the truth about that. :laughing7:

...and as for 'not pwning the way it should', you need to clarify that.
What, (in your opinion) would you define as 'pwning the way it should'?  Sales? The amount of people playing it?
Are you saying that the 'saviour' BC2 isn't 'pwning' because it sold less (so far)...and less people playing it online?  WOW.
Thats like saying this PNM gov't is the best because they actually got voted into power, when from the (dynamics of the) numbers it clearly showed that
they didn't get the majority of votes.  :shakehead:

Oh this game is 'pwning' my friend...just not in ways that YOU consider important.

The game may not be 'perfect', but its far from the cheat/hack/glitch-fest that OTHER game was at 3 weeks after release,
and the patches have addressed a lot of the annoying post-release issues.

...and DICE STILL hasn't gone on vacation yet.  :)

So, what's your whole point again?

But Arc, how do you explain a man on our team, NOT squad mind you...TEAM, planting C4 and bascially sabotaging our win so he could help the other team win, not ONE but TWO men, constantly planting C4 and bringing down the building and causing our bases to be destroyed...now that is just not right...its clearly boosting...

Before I answer this i'd just like to point out what's obvious to red and ago and many other I frequently play on XBL with and who are on the GATT forums, I am doing this for NO BETTER reason than to pook and prod at the MW2 naysayers, I have about as much reason to give BF a bad review as they did MW2 which is tantamount to NONE... well I probably have a little more reason as I ACTUALLY BOUGHT BOTH and I think that give me a better perspective from which to complain unlike those who throw feces from the sides line without ACTUALLY playing... it's like going to a football match and hearing ppl talk about how EASY x y z was but they not on the field so it's somewhat of a one sided opinionated garbage. So lets begin XD

Ah W1nTry... *smiles*

*clears throat*

Did anyone BUT Reaper complain of lag?

*reads back 5 or so PAGES of posts*
Nope, but i'm just being anal cause yall continued to post articles about how MW2 wasn't good, but never bothered to say how it IS good. So you say NO dedicated servers means LAG, so I say why are dedicated servers lagging

Matchmaking on XBL is no different from MW2 so I know NOT to which you refer

You keep blowing your trumpet about the clearly inferior Xbox 360 version, but guess what: your experience is not ours.
Call me elitist.  Thats YOUR business.  I prefer to play the superior version.
So... what you're saying is the ppl who made BF BC2 didn't know their ass from their elbows and produced an inferior version of the game... makes PERFECT sense moving on

I also see you also complaining about the gameplay.  Its not MW2.  Its as simple as that.  Get over it.
I'm not about to debate which game is more 'realistic', but you've played em both, so you know the truth about that. :laughing7:
Now that i've played a few hours of the game I can say for the most part bullet lag is most applicable to shooting down UAVs, otherwise i've been hitting men across a map no differently from MW2, as I pointed out the sniper doesn't wane AT ALL, and as my picture showed, well apparently trying to get out of a window is beyond the mental capacity of a man holding a 50 cal sniper.... it inspires confidence in our military it really does XD

...and as for 'not pwning the way it should', you need to clarify that.
What, (in your opinion) would you define as 'pwning the way it should'?  Sales? The amount of people playing it?
I thought this was pretty obvious, it's about being able to run a 30 kills in a single match and PULL ur WORTHLESS team to victory... that doh happen in BF

Are you saying that the 'saviour' BC2 isn't 'pwning' because it sold less (so far)...and less people playing it online?  WOW.
See point above, I mean it was in reference to lone wolf... do I NEED to spell it out?

Thats like saying this PNM gov't is the best because they actually got voted into power, when from the (dynamics of the) numbers it clearly showed that
they didn't get the majority of votes.  :shakehead:
PNM... hmm that would be tragic XD

Oh this game is 'pwning' my friend...just not in ways that YOU consider important.

The game may not be 'perfect', but its far from the cheat/hack/glitch-fest that OTHER game was at 3 weeks after release,
and the patches have addressed a lot of the annoying post-release issues.
Neither is MW2 but I like BOTH cause I OWN BOTH XD hence when I COMPLAIN I can complain about BOTH.

...and DICE STILL hasn't gone on vacation yet.  :)
?

So, what's your whole point again?
Just to provoke  :sassy:

I can at least give a title credit EVEN if it's not perfect, I like BF, its a nice change of pace, YOU my friend could not see past your sour grapes and give credit where credit was due :)

As usual...you miss my whole point.

Again...all my posts are directed to the PC VERSIONS of the games in question, so right there, that renders a lot of your arguments moot.

Have you PLAYED both PC versions?

* not holding breath waiting for an answer on that one *

Did you remember when I said that the core game itself is great, but the PC mp implementation is full of fail?
Did you remember when I said the SINGLE-PLAYER campaign contains levels of WIN that cannot be measured by earthly means.?

Selective memory, eh?  Typical.

When I say 'superior version', you know exactly what I am talking about, but nice try nonetheless. :)

...as for the 'pwning' issue, thats not even an argument.  You yourself said that BC2 required teamwork to win.  Thats a core gameplay mechanic.

The DICE comment was made in direct reference to the OTHER company that went on 'vacation' upon their game's release, and did not address the
virtual $#!t-storm of hackers, cheats, and glitchers until nearly TWO WEEKS later (an ETERNITY in online time).  Obviously, you've never been on the IW forums, or else you would have known that.  (Did I really need to 'spell THAT out'?)

...and you can provoke all you want.  That OTHER game has had its time in the sun, so its only natural that BC2 is now in the crosshairs.  I really don't have a problem with that.

...and I gave a lot of 'credit' to MW2 where it was due, but it was overshadowed by the utter (and continuing) fail of the PC version.

You see, as I kept pointing out in that thread, you can sit there and defend MW2 all you want, because from a console standpoint,
the game is 'bess', even though it was riddled with some of the same issues that plagued the PC version.  I haven't heard that for BC2.
From all reports, the console versions have been pretty solid (technical inferiorities notwithstanding :)).

You think you won't have issues from time to time?

The difference here is that a beta was released, so that the BUYING public could try it out FREE OF CHARGE, so that DICE could
actually WORK OUT THE PROBLEMS before releasing the game.  In BC2's case, we actually didn't pay to be beta testers. :laughing7:

I can GUARANTEE you, W1nTry, that had IW done the same, MW2 would have been a whole lot better (and we wouldn't be having this conversation).

...but then I'm sure you'll find some other bull$#!t argument to justify not agreeing with me.

@ W1ntry and Red

i really dont see d point of posting a pic of half your team quitting as this happens in every game....now d sniper not moving and being stuck in a window is 2 LEGITIMATE arguments

...and as for 'not pwning the way it should', you need to clarify that.
What, (in your opinion) would you define as 'pwning the way it should'?  Sales? The amount of people playing it?
I thought this was pretty obvious, it's about being able to run a 30 kills in a single match and PULL ur WORTHLESS team to victory... that doh happen in BF

oh and in a TEAM game in no way shape or form should ONE man be able to pull his team to victory in objective games you mw2 peeps need to understand this.
That is what i liked about bc2, SOCOM and MAG in mw2 u can be ass rapin the other team and STILL lose due to ONE man campin it out for a nuke
if u play with randoms in a TEAM game expect it to be hit an miss when it comes to actual team play

Blu, the point of the photos was that the entire opposite team quit and the game continued........WHY? We had time to fool around and take pics....thats the point. It didn't have a countdown, neither did it try to bring in other players to fill the opposing team, nor did it even try to balance the teams....THAT is the point of the photos. :P

well i know for a fact that if a spot open red it usually TRIES to fill it

ppl quiting is NOT new to gaming....ENTIRE teams quitting is not new

every game is like that....U2, MAG, BC2, MW2 it has happened in all these games i played (i think mw2 ends the game once the opposing team is empty tho, not sure but i know i have played mw2 games with only one man against 4-6 sometimes). If [b[all[/b] did quit then it should have ended the game

bottom line when ppl gettin lvl cutass they WILL quit which is why i dont support the ranking systems in most of these games and actually love d Halo ranking system which is based on skill so games are more evenly matched

I noticed that on the PS3 version as well, teams tend to lose players and the game does not fill their spots at times for some reason. I know in MW2 games tend to refill when ppl leave unless there is a mass exodus. I dunno if that will be fixed on console but it is a minor disappointment at times, seeing that it is a team game and boring when games are half empty.

You know destructible environments are cool and all but I do miss the larger team sizes, planes and commander from Battlefield 2 on PC. If Battlefield 3 actually happens with Frostbite now that would be bad.

haterforever, these fellas who posted the picture deserving of the C4 Cameo are playing the xbox 360 version eh....not the PC version.

We don't experience that sort of woe. I have played many a game where we were wtfpwning the enemy team, they start to abandon the sinking ship, only for an elite squad to join the losing side and turn the entire game around.

One man cannot make a difference in Bad Company 2 but one squad can!

Team work, team work and more team work is the order of the day.

Likewise, we have been in games where our squad would switch teams to balance the game and keep it competitive.

Arc has done a competent job of coming to Bad Company's defense. I tip my hat to you sir. Expect a constant supply of ammo in the next campaign against the terrorist forces.

suhuweat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
