institution they represent.

Actually....it could go either way. It all really depends on whether or not the aforementioned peers are open to gaming.

Then again, consider the effect WoW has on quite a few people, that has actually caused them to neglect their responsibilites. Remember the Hong Kong couple that left their baby to die in their apartment while they went to an internet cafe to play WoW?

Yup. That would definitely bring up a stroke in favour of 'poor relationships'.

people dont need video games to do what that couple did

people do it for carnival all the time, i heard from a nurse that people intentionally get their children sick for carnival and drop them off at the hospital so they can go party then collect them on ashwednesday. awesomes.

Just this morning JW and Blaze were talking about how in Grande a woman was breast feeding her baby by a BAR, whilst SMOKING AND DRINKING a beer... in short ppl will find ANY excuse to be horrible in relationships, whether it be a couple, parental, etc. Humans are just rotten creatures... what more can we say?

It is safe to say that any addiction will have a negative effect on relationships. Gaming being no exception.
