how could pvp be as easy as pve when in pvp you are going against human opponents that you have no control over?

In PVP your opponents skill level could range anywhere from noobtastic to omgwtfpwnage.

In PVE, the AI skill level is predictable and determinable.

cause its still scripted @ baego
as challenging as pvp might be its always still scripted the team that is more versed in rotations etc wins.
break it down there is always a counter simple enough.
and when I talk about pvp I talk for guild wars pvp alone.

as for crix top 40 and 50 warrior/monk and ranger/ele
nothing is let me use your blonde term "zooomg hard" it just takes time to get the hang of it or "skill" so to speak.
so apprentice will very well get there enjoy the pve bro and doh study the pvp comments lol.

Cant speak much for GW. but i can speak for WoW

The AI design is scripted yes. But i can GUARANTEE it does not make the event any easier. (At least in WoW). you still need the co ordinated work of 25 people to complete a given event, especially if you are trying for "hard mode" where certain things must take place to make the fight more difficult (people take more damage, its timed, only 1-2 people can die).

You mess up, you die, and 24 other people take the hit for it. Its alot to carry on your shoulders for "f(ckin up" a raid because you were not paying attention. e.g the Archimonde fight BC, if any class dies they debuff the entire raid. The consequences are mostly time and consumable based, but is expensive either way.

4 years of playing WoW, I can definitely say that it is a PvE based game with PvP bullshit tacked on. Granted that the PvP element CAN be fun at times, with a guild in a battleground or arena working together (which does not happen often with me).

WoW is strong at the PvE base, its what the game is built on, instanced events with instanced and scaled battles. Especially with the introduction of vehicle combat in certain fights you can really amp up the difficulty.

To me its just preference. I feel like I have achieved more working with my guildies for a couple months on a raid instance to take down a boss that is 20 times my size with infinitely more health and abilities than I do than killing a PvP'r with "gud gear". But then, is WoW PvP...which is way too heavily gear and melee based.

yeah wow pvp is trash

a passtime between please to party meez to go fight mobz *sad eyes*

L2 is still the perfect mmo. Its not for babies. And Guildwars has greeat pvp as well and makes you feel rewarded for winning.

I mean they have that 100 k tournament every month or 2 for best pvp teams.

I give up on bashing pve noobs. Let them stay in the forest while iam on the battle field.
I humour the wow community by gracing their servers every now and then with a friends accounts
just to join as much pvp as i can, and show them how its done. Lolz... paladins are for healing?? lolz thats silly... paladins are for sneaking up into the cliffs, diving off and destroying people as you consecrate and stun your way to oblivion.. silly shadow priest never saw it coming =^_^=

I can go out of my way and insult PvP....but then i think ill step on alot of toes. And i don't feel to do that.

Experience propper PvP and proper PvE and learn how MMO's are played. There is diversity in MMO"s for a reason.

good point, just like with PCs and Consoles, we don't have to choose. Just do both. Pick your poison.

The PVE aspect is very engaging..expansive..and fun with my buddies.
PVP is alot of fun too.. I enjoy both as a balance and not disliking either.
Guild Wars is just so awesome..
