^Since it was a major classic...alot of hype/hope riding on this one.
I've not been a fan so...yea...

But if its a hit I won't mind checking out cause the footage I saw does look pretty awesome, especially online play.

Ive actually been following it for some time. Rearmed was friggin amazing since I was just a BOSS and a HALF with the NES version.

Initially i hated what i saw in the first trailer.....after some more gameplay i had more hope. The producer is literally pouring his heart and soul into this game so im expecting something good, not to mention he's been trying to get Capcom to remake this game for 10 years......(ive been trying for 15

)

Really demo sucked? Dam, well game's gonna be out in about a week so, they cant polish it up more. Maybe a patch ?

Polish it up? In a week? Polish is simply adding that little extra to make it better or stand out. How the character turns when walking, picks up his sword....maybe fluidity of movement.

The only option is to pull this game and release it later, meaning they have to redesign this games architecture from the ground up which always turns out horribly. A patch fixes a bug or glitch in the game (slowdown issues from memory leaks, texture popins maybe) you cannot reconfigure an entire AI system and redesign levels in a week.

I would like to get my hands on the fool that was lead producer for this title and find out wtf he thought he was doing.

Whoa!! dude i was just trying to bring some optimism to it,:) lol. i know they cannot really do anything about it except delay. But i'll still play it cuz im a LOTR fan.

The online was pretty cool imo...
But very laggy...so did not have a good experience.

I wanted to like that game...but sigh...

The reviews about LOTR: conquest say nothing about bad AI but redundancy is present. I'm also lookin forward to Dragon Age.

he reviews games and such for the big boys an ting, gets hands on on unreleased games and the suchages.
So he certainly has more gravity on the subject than average joe pleb

Something to keep in mind Archer. You may have noticed but reviewing standards have dropped SHARPLY in the last 2-4 years. I watch video reviews, I watch their breakdowss and it is VERY clear these reviewers are now amateur at BEST. Saying "it doesnt feel right" or "the graphics look horrible" or even "there are issues with texture popins and screen tears..". Do they even KNOW how a texture popin or screen tear occurs? Big words, small minds.

This is NOT a bash to anyone on the forum, its just a headsup on what is REALLY happening there.

You talking about a reviewer that has what? ONE degree in.....JOURNALISM?

good lord....who is probably using IGN/Gamespot or Gamespy (whoever you go to) as a stepping stone to move up in their career. They couldnt give 2 sh!ts about the game, or any game for that matter if Wall Street Journal or NY Times calls them for a job. You in this industry to "make money" you going to never make it, and then be handed your @ss in about 2-5 years.

I remember on a review of Lost Odyssey on Gamespy the reviewer bashed the game because of its design and combat issues. A guy at http://thirdworldgamer.blogspot.com/ challenged this review for whatever reason, maybe a fan of Sakaguchi. He found out from an interview with the reviewer that that guy never made it past the FIRST disc....this is a FOUR disc game. ANYONE should know for an RPG it can take up to 4-6 HOURS to give some INKLING of a review of an RPG because of their length.

Listening to podcasts im finding that FEWER and fewer reviewers FINISH the game. They play it for maybee 4 hours and give a FULL review? WTF is that? As Gamers we can play a game for 1 hour and decide....but its OUR opinion.....NONE of your opinions on these forums rests in the hands of people who decide what to buy on the level of a review site. So for that reason playing for you and how long you like is fine. For the PUBLIC...that is just a friggin RIPOFF> which is why i have canceled my IGN insider subscription and Gamespot premium subscription. RUBBISH

you want decent reviews at LEAST go to giantbomb.com and read Jeff Gertsmans new teams reviews.

But yea some of those reviewers don't really make sense, like take ign's review of gta4 pc and saints row pc, they hardly mentioned anything about the bugs in the gta pc version but yet early on in the saints row 2 review they say how horrible it is an what not , tellin ppl to stay away from the game. I think they a bit biased too ( reviewers) .

Plus i was wonderin how Shiv knew so much about the tehnical side of game making,i did not know , Srry would not doubt you in the future

BAYONETTA!!!!!

Makers of DMC back in the dance. Very surprised DMC4, Ninja Gaiden 2 and Chains of Olympus didnt get any kind of recognition. Think its just because of their early release and the GOD......DAMN......PRESS (lawd i hate game journalists)
some GREAT ideas here

1. Her suit is made out of demonic hair (or something)...so the less she wears...the more powerful she gets.

2. Her 4 guns (2 on her boots, 2 on her hands) are Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme (hope u know where that came from)

3. DMC combos? check......fighting demons? check.......HUGEEEEE boss fights? check.
