Those recommended specs are a bit ridiculous.  The percentage of gamers with such a rig is kinda small.

...and wtf @ 18GB HDD space.  O_O

Adam Sessler has raised an issue when it came to specs.
That the recommended specs on most games actually do not allow you to run the game on max settings.
Thats what the recommended specs were supposed to do...no?

So those specs they have listed here do look more realistic for maxed grphics at a respectable resolution. Better have these recommended than something lower.

hmm specs not too bad, hard drive space is ridiculous, not a problem to me though. Seeing as they recommended a Phenom X3, seems like this game is gonna make use of multicore cpu's alot. Can't wait for this game XD

Good point...and the funny thing is, a Nvidia 8600 (GT or GTS), or its ATI equivalent, is nowhere NEAR what is required to run that game at 'max settings'.

Well they DID say 18gb of FREE hard drive space eh. Many of us have large or largish capacity hdd's, but how much FREE space to install the game we have is another story. As for the recommended specs, I dont really see an issue. With those, you should at least be able to play the game using medium settings at a res something like 10x7. You have to remember that people who actually have beastly systems with 4870's and GTX280's are in the very small minority. So bam! Joe Gamer picks up this title for his pc, looks at the rec specs and sees some ridiculous specs, he's going to be like....damn! my pc cant play this game!!.

What I think they should have is a minimum, medium and recommended spec; minimum stays as is, the medium specification should include the current recommended settings and recommended which lists sli and xfire configs and such. I think this is what should be done with all games coming out, but, you know, whatever.

i personally find it hard to believe that the minimum specs for this game will be that intense
iam pretty sure ill be able to run the game without all of that.. except the damn hd space

Wat i really wanna know is Why SP3????
I don't wanna install it.. what could they possibly need to use in SP3 that we can't install through ah redistributable.
I hope it runs without SP3, cus i was actually considering buying this title

Maybe I'm missing something here, but the only drawback to installing SP3 I can think of is that it disallows the use
of patched theme files (for which a workaround has since been found).

What is it about SP3 that makes you so averse to installing it?

On the 360 it's a truly good looking game. I am not surprised at those requirements. That being said, thank goodness I more or less beat it out already on the 360, so I don't have to worry about my 'long in tooth' rig to struggle to play it.
