If you had the money or needed a reason to start saving to switch to HD.

What movies would make you make teh switch??

For me, Troy, 300, The dark knight, watchmen, heroes,dukes of hazzard (jessica simpson, not much clothes),smallville, underworld

I dl it in 720p which was a blu ray rip.It was awesome.

Apocalypto. Already on blu-ray, but worth switching for.

These sacrifice scenes on top of the Mayan temple are drat amazing in 1080p. You can clearly make out every one of the thousands in the crowd as they jump, move, breath, cheer, chant, etc. The movie itself is very good.

The "Narnia" series...
Especially "Prince Caspian"
Apparently these films have been getting rave reviews from the hidef world with regards to picture quality and sound.
I occasionally buy a bluray film and I'll be getting prince caspian for the enjoyment factor of the film and the amazing quality...

slightly off topic, but how often do you people re-watch these movies?

curious, as I seldom watch a movie more than once. So after the movietowne experience, dont see much value in buying a blueray or dvd copy.

also let me echo what captain said, the 720p stuff from the net rock. not blueray level though but rock all the same.

Well I can say that I have watched Iron man 3 times since buying it on BluRay, same goes for The Incredible Hulk. These movies really POP in HD on my 55" Plasma and I enjoy watching them over and over in 5.1 Surround Sound too.

But seriously, I think its up to the viewer and what movies they LOVED and whether or not to buy them on BluRay to watch them again and again in HD glory. I for one will be buying The Dark Knight when it comes out the day after my Birthday in a week or two. Didn't manage to catch it in the theatre so I will be watching it OVER and OVER again in BluRay...

understood, just wondering If I'm strange to not feel an urge to re-watch these as many of you obviously see fit to purchase them for re-usability and not just as a "collectors item".

Batman for example. I give that movie a 15 out of 10. Awesome and instant classic, yet I've got zero zeal to see it again. Go figure.

Speed Racer was MAD! F*CK them unintelligent no degree "ah feel ah could write" reviewers. Fun movie with over the mc top car racing we wish we coulda do when we were 10 years playing with we lil Corgi cars set in an unrealistic world so nobody go get tie up. Apparently some people were stupid enough to think it was "real"
