I'm on chapter 9, it's pretty cool but I expected more Survival Horror (Silent Hill, Resident Evil remake) than RE4.  Beside that little thing though I'm enjoying the hell out of it.  The lighting effects and just the atmosphere draws you in and up to the pointIi'm at there hasn't been 1 boring moment.  The game is truly epic though and has one of the most satisfying finishing boot stomps that I've ever experienced.  That weapon that shoots out buzzsaws is one of my new favorite weapons in gaming =D.

I dont like the aiming system in this game. Feels klunky. Also hate that I cannot set movement keys to anything but default. That sucks ass. Could be because I hate almost all 3rd person shooters ever made, except for max payne and lost planet of course.

They made it that way 'on purpose'.  You can't turn as fast as you want to.  Its a clever way of heightening
the game's tension.  The control scheme and viewpoint is a direct clone of Resident Evil 4 (a great game in its own right).
My only gripe is that I wish the melee attacks were a little more complex, or that you could do either a quick side-dodge/roll.

It think it works well for RE4 and this game.  It will work for the upcoming RE5 as well.

Your right, this isn't straight up action, it's survival horror and the purposely make these these things a little more difficult or else you'll jsut be playing a regular action game.

thanks for the edit.

I played it for about half an hour last night, like the concept. i'm not really into these horror games but this one looks like a classic. They're right about the view. the sound effects and background music also comes in at perfect timing. an the inability to turn around fast makes the game more challenge and the player more unprepared for attacks. i'll give it a 4 out of 5 stars

OK, someone tell me wtf 'Peng' is...

These signs are mainly in the tram stations' walls.
I can 'speculate' (hehehe) what it is, but the ad doesn't let on what its selling.

...and who was scared $#!tless when *SPOILER ALERT* the big tentacle just ben round the corner in a flash and grab yuh leg*SPOILER ALERT*
The ol ticker skipped more than a few beats.  This game is definitely not for you if you scare easily.  I can't say it enough:
really good job with the enemy variations and scares, and the SOUND.  The sound adds so much to the atmosphere it ain't funny.
Especially when the 'morphs climb into a vent, and then you hear em scurrying around above you.

Damn game have me watching every vent 'cokey eye' yes. :laughing7:

You still get the fright...
Great design on that title.

Saw some interesting blog posts on Techreport about the 'control issues' in this game. (The PC version)

Here and here.

Are you all getting these issues?  I'm not.

Sorry to hear bout those issues. To address this guy (link) with his garbage apathy, someone closerange shotgun these PC only omg console is teh suxx ppl. 3rd person shooters are a preference, it giving trouble on a kb/m then plug in a f*cking controler and play the mc game....who the f*ck cares honestly. I prefer them on a console, but then i remember i was very comfortable with Max Payne on the PC.
Tell that guy to work in Wallmart for the xmas, get money, get fired and go buy a XBOX or PS3....or at least drop some f*cking weight before i take him seriously.

*end sugar rush*...boy that Mana potion drink does kick!

hmm control issues, yea i experience what he's talking about, but i don't take it as a problem. i get a slight delay when using my wireless xbox360 controller in game but not with my mouse and keyboard, i rather play the game with my gamepad anyways. The slow movement adds to the scare factor, esp when one of those space zombie thingies come up from behind clawing... oh the joy!
