Yea it went down here too. What was baffling me was the fact that msn etc was connecting but no pages were opening. Seems to be back to normal now.

In other baffling news... Trinidad is not showing up on the speedtest map for me...lol
And recommended server is Panama city...

I've also been running some downloads and peak speed has been 750kb/s and no higher....that is, 6megabits.
So down from 10megabits to 6 megabits here.

I'm testing like 1mbps here on speedtest. Really poor results, not to mention that ping. My lord I hope they sort out their stuff soon.

meh it was just one night of problems, nothing to munch a stick of celery at
if it was tstt we woulda be back to dial up speeds and tstt would have charged us extra for using dial up features or some a$$ness all whilst at the same time saying there is no problem on their end..

Wow...I didn't think the long arms of the 'law' with regards to the MPAA would stretch all the way here.
I guess it was just a matter of time before this type of thing started happening, but I'm still surprised
that Columbia Pictures would go through all this trouble.  The main reason Flow called you is to try to
cover their own ass from potential litigation.  I wouldn't even take that call seriously.  Can you imagine
the amount of emails like the one Flow got would have been sent out by CP?

Thats a puny little scare tactic.  F@#K Columbia Pictures.  Make your s#!t more affordable instead of wasting
time and money trying to scare people a world away.

Download yuh stuff oui.  Flow can't even tell what it is yuh doin.  If they didn't get that email, they woulda be none the wiser.

steuuupppssss....

Hmmm, in this day and age, with the economy in the state it is, Columbia Pictures actually caring about the $19.99 they losing in DVD sales / Movie Ticket Admission...I won't be surprised if they dedicate some money towards tracking down IP's and SUING for Copyright Infringement. Piracy never pays...You Do..

I would launch i suit in their SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FAST EH!!
they have ZEROOOOOO jurisdiction of internation ISPs , who in the hell is them to tell citizens of another country what they can and cannot do on their internets?? If FLOW is smart, instead of scaring their customs, they would drop a suit on dem RIAA assholes for sniffing whey dey dont belong.

Ok Crixx, so then you basically saying that Movietowne and all the other MOVIE establishments who have licenses and who purchase the movies from the International Studios to have showings can sue Flow then...because they are providing access to the customers who are downloading the same movies that they make MONEY from or lose MONEY from due to piracy in Trinidad. Since you are saying Columbia Pictures have no jurisdiction there, I would think Movietowne would. Right?

If they had Netflix available down here I'd probably sign up for it....once it wasn't ridiculously expensive.

Well that would have to be some sort of Franchise situation right? That would be a better solution than Piracy. Think about it, its about MONEY, everything usually is. If you had a product that you invested money in, you want to reap the benefits of that investment, not let people just take it for free without compensating you for it...People always want their cake and eat TWO!
