Agreed. Gaming really isn't a 'jack of all trades' sorta thing.
I can't imagine many people specializing in all those different games.

Essentially it will come to down to the few kids that specialize in a particular and then the rest of them fighting it out based on the person who is best at 'pick up and play'.

Because it just occured to me that NONE of those games were shown on the television ad. :|

I'll try to be there though..

I would have loved to see the presence of shooters also..

Shooters are a no no this time around, like i said the sponsor doesnt want any violence at all. The variety was decided based also on the sponsors request. So far all i can come up with is a point system elimination. Also we need to stop thinking that this is a 2 day affair. Because its for a TV program it is going to be streched out over 8 weeks. Shooting will be on Saturdays at Trincity mall by RadioShack. The plan is to run the competition in stages. The first Show will be a 2 day event Sat n Sun then Sat only after that. As info surfaces i will post. But this is the general idea of the event.

As well as i understand the whole "no one can compete n win all the games" but this was the only way to show the corporate world that everyone has a fair chance. So that we wont end up knowing who the winners are before hand. (Remember Tekken 5 in Arena everyone knew Bryan Master & Lord Jin were the ones). And Arena 2 had that same format for the Hummer Grand Prize. One would have to enter n win all the games. Remember the title please ... THE ULTIMATE GAMER ...

A PC flavor will be added in the next season with a higher age limit and better games. COD4, CNC3KW, SC2 (once it released) to name a few. So lets all embrace this as the corporate world now taking a taste of what we have been doing for years. Once they get a taste, the demand will grow.

Well we couldnt get much PS3 games that were able to pass the sponsors favor so they are the prizes!!
Although we are still looking for responses from certain sponsors...

This is how it goes...

You play 3 rounds (Best out of 3) in a fighting, a sports, a racing game.

If u win 2 games out of all 3 then u go on, if not then 3rd game is played for elim.

Fighting games have a standard 2 round per match. 3 matches for fighting, 3 tracks for racing, 1 round for sports...

We have alot of guys who qualified mostly kiddies between the ages of 9 - 17. but they have agreed and opened up the age limit i think to 25ish although they were leaning to all ages...

Registration was on like boil corn bro the continuous flow was impressive and it only costed 20tt...

Sadly we had some tech difficulties this sat gone. but we have sorted that out and will be back in full gear next sat plz god...
