Ok...Got it past Tuesday...
And I'm pretty much amazed at this polished product.
Being only exposed to the singing in Rock Band, I've never played or participated in any other Karaoke title.
SingStar basically TROUNCES ROck Band on every level in regards to singing.
The only thing missing is online singing battles...But this is made up for in the stellar "My Singstar Online".
This game is visually astounding. The menu is uniquely designed, beautiful, fluid, customizable.
You can use the mics while in the MENUS O_o
And the Menu Music is so upbeat and funky....It really gets you into the singing mood.
This game was made for the singer at heart...I'm sorry I never got a title earlier.
If you're a lone gamer,this game is not a top choice.
Its for homes with lots of people, frequent visitors, people who love to sing and are not ashamed.
My Mom and Dad are pretty much hooked on the game.
They love some songs that came on the disc...
And we visited the "SingStore" and they found a couple oldies they want...

(How did we purchase? Well a miracle sent my cousin from canada this way, she brought her credit card.... My PS3 is registered to a CDN account...So YEA!)You get the song download as well as the vid.
The SingStar dev team also plan to update the store with 50 songs a month so we'll be getting some nice stuff and a big variety.
Now in the gameplay...
You sing with the music video playing in the background, or a live feed of your performance using the PS EYE Camera
(more on this later)After you sing you get a rating of how good you are...
This ranges from TONE DEAF to SingStar!
The game records your voice througout the song and you can play it back afterwards, add effect such as reverb and play with the pitch. You can also save it and add it to your media library..
Another Feature is the compatibility with the Playstation Eye Camera.
This game is BUILT FOR SOCIAL.
You create a profile for every singer in the game.
Snap a photo...
After singing a song, you can snap a photo...
If you duet, snapa group photo
The camera RECORDS your entire Session, and at the end of the song its available for playback and saving to the Hard Drive.
The camera randomly snaps photos throughout your singing session...
Its just so much fun as you review what you did and what you sang...
Another feature is PSP Remote Play where you can view content saved on your PS3, as well as check out the singstore and singstar online.
SingStar is an amazing purchase...
I recommend it to EVERY PS3 OWNER who can sing, or want to try
