WOW did any one watch the 3 tech demos. U could practically do anything in this game and stuff burns and fire spreads realistically (finally!) and doors dent when u beat the crap out of it. U could use anything as a weapon and make torches - he shot down a lamp, I've always wanted to beat monsters to death with a fluorescent lamp and fire extinguishers and wooden chairs and burning wooden chairs. Did I mention you could create oil trails and light them? And you could drive too - what can't you do in this game? Watch tech demos NOW!
Btw don't let fires get out of control  :violent5:

yup I watched all the vids concerning this game. I'm really shocked that nobody is talking about it. It's going to be a great game. I love the inventory system. It's his jacket with pockets and you actually see him opening it up and moving his hand around in there and taking out stuff so cool.

Also u can put velcro on gas bottles and turn it into like C4. or punch a hole in it stick on an enemy let it go to it friend leaving a gas trail, light it and watch in delight as the flesh burnsss.

Can't Wait.

I hope your little Gears 2 can kill GTA IV and MGS4(not a fan of either), as well as RE 5 and this game, we will see.

Yes, you heard it here, one person on the planet is doubting Gears 2.

This game looks crazy! I checked out the trailers and tech demos and it's nuts. The graphics, lighting, cool item features/interaction, collision physics, cloth physics, AI, motion blending, they all look super sexy. The score had excellent depth. Hell, even the tech demo voice was sweet. I'll be looking closely at this game.

However, I've played the 1st Alone in the Dark for PSone and it sucked for me....maybe 'cause I played Silent Hill and ResEvil-DC prior. Looks like infogrames are taking the big leap.

But still, I loved the gameplay the trailers and demos showed. But one thing that looked a bit bland was the facial expressions. Even Silent Hill 3 for PS2 did it better. I also don't expect it to reach MGS's expressions but hopefully they would polish it up by release.
They're focusing so much on the gameplay, wonder if the story would hold. Nevertheless, the game would rock mainly due to this huge step in gameplay.

For the past few months I'm finally beginning to see signs of "next-gen" being "current-gen".

Hmm, is that a good thing or a bad thing? Not sure what you mean by that statement.

Hmm, is that a good thing or a bad thing? Not sure what you mean by that statement.

Guess it's bad wording. I meant that ever since the next-gen became current-gen 2 years ago, it felt like old-gen....nothing new except graphical triumphs and minor upgrades to gameplay. And, during the past few months there have been releases and trailers that have impressed me.
I'm a perfectionist (who is bad at words) and I look out for revolutionary designs and implementations and.....I believe I'm finally (currently) getting to see the next-gen experience that was expected before it was released.

It's a great thing. Lucky you if you're already experiencing it. I just look for other stuff.
But you see what I mean when you watch those tech demos, right? Gameplay-variety just took a leap forward with this game.
Or maybe it's my fault for not ever playing a 7th-generation title. I do download and watch alot of HD trailers/demos for all genre of games. I base my judgements on that until I truly enter the new world.

@ woodyear, yes that's all ingame

@Seiryuki, yes I understand what you mean now. There have been only a few games that deliver next gen experiences.

Personally I would say Gears of War, Bioshock, Call of Duty 4 and DIRT have impressed me and I felt like I was experience next gen especially when I got my HDTV.

I'm looking forward to ALone in the Dark, Allan Wake ( check that out), Soul Calibur 4 and GRid.

Alone in the Dark Trailer - Wii

This is the newly released trailer for Alone for Wii

WARNING: EXTREMELY DISGUSTING LOOKING FIRE, WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK

I'll admit the 360 version looking soooooooooooooooooo x10000 much better than the Wii version, but there still exists the possibility of the Wii version being good-great, I guess we'll see pretty soon. Oh and thank god Data design Interactive isn't developing the Wii version, they are the developers that developed all those Wii games that get on a scale of 1.0 - 5.something, yeah, so it isn't necessarily "developerS" making these crappy games.

See now this is a case to real CUSS Nintendo fror not investing the funds into making a TRULY Next Gen console and getting a better CPU and GPU to make the Wii the Ultimate console to have, but the graphics have to let us down EVERY time with the OLD PS2/Xbox1 graphics...PFFT, I would not buy this game on the Wii, save your money for the Xbox 360 version...

I agree with you, well for the most part, the majority of games still have better graphics than PS2 and Xbox, others have WORSE than ps2 and xbox (Points at Data Design games), but you can't deny the quality of Wii games, they're quite good. (Like I said, most of them)

I don't like to depend on game reviews, but we will see when those ratings start coming in.

Alone in the Dark FTW!
