I like the both options of Laning and Sweating online from home, depends imo, if yuh like hearing ppl bawling down de place cause yuh pulloff a Matyrdom on him or yuh just headshot him splitseconds b4 he line up to hit you or if yuh want some peace and quiet to think up a strat to take out a man base. I like them both, by the way when Gatt HQ coming i honestly missing some lan style sweat, though come next week yall be seeing me frequent on the cod 4 servers.

Well I suspect online gaming is going to be just too convenient for LAN gaming to topple again. LANs will become infrequent affairs while VLPs (Virtual Lan Parties) will take up the chunk of sweat time going forward.

Again, it's just a suspicion based on my own experience and what I've seen of people on this thread thus far.

I'm not scared of it, that change seems inevitable and is something we can embrace. Just as a lot of arcade gamers have embraced console gaming.

Looking forward to you joining us on the CoD4 scene Trinitus. We could use a good shooter.

Xfire and hamachi can offer a damn good substitute for a LAN-party, but cannot entirely replace it.

Somehow I wish that all the people I play with online could get together for a big-@$$ LAN-party somewhere.
