Looking for a good surveillance network web camera

Due to some recent thiefts in our property my dad bounced the idea of implementing some sort of surveillance system. He was thinking CCTV but I wanted something more sophisticated like an outdoor network camera with motion sensor activation of video recording. Preferably something with night vision? Also it should be able to see through walls if possible.

I've been doing some research, came up with a nice cheap one. Ideas, thoughts/suggestions welcomed.

that camera seems pretty good, but i see that there is some paid service which must be maintained to get the use that you require, i donno ...i'll have to DL the User Guide.
