Another year, another birthday.
Was expecting the usual socks and shirts but was pleasantly surprised to find a techie gift in the offerings.
This little gem.
The Saitek A-100 portable audio system.
Wifey outdid herself. I've long dreamed of taking my ipod on a field trip and ditching the ear buds for some untethered relaxation. Perfect for a Maracas or DDI lime (Down D Islands for the uninitiated)
These puppies made that dream a reality. Running on 4 Triple A batteries (rechargeables recommended) you get 10-12 hours of surprisingly good sound. Not Bose level sound obviously, but definitely better than you'd expect from the size of the unit, it really is small.
I had mentioned to her, in passing some moons ago that I'd love some sort of portable speaker system for the nano.
That got me thinking. Maybe a list of gift items would be of benefit. Something we could share with the special people in our lives just before christmas / birthdays as a "hint". lol
Surely we've all got enough socks and shirts in our cupboards already.
