Very nice score! You guys went all out and spent oodles of cash to get this operational so i'll expect nothing less.

As noob always say, I hadda win the lotto to justify spending that much on a personal rig. GG

Financial audit por favor.

And.. next time you guys upgrading... sell some on GATT nuh...

Will do, and we usualy does sell thing at bess price, and we parts dont be more dan a year old.

Ruff Finanacial Audit, go get ah detailed one lata:
All Prices in US$

Mobo - 435
CPU - 230
RAM - 185
GPU - ermmm 600
GPU Water Block - 150 or so, so dies 750 for d gpu, dat hurt d most.
CPU Cooler - 65 bucks
VRegs, - bout 50
NB/SB - about 70 not sure
XFI - 150 (retail is 200$ but we struck a deal)
Rads - 400 fuh 2 feser
Pumps - 120-150 fuh 2
HD - 235 * 2
Case - 225
PSU - 450
Resevouri - 60 fuh 2
Accessories and stuff - add ah 200

so dies errr...= about 4k, sounds about right somwhere around dey.

Ah get meh 30" through linkup for 10k TT on ah 6 month payment plan, which done pay up for aready.

Errrr, d amp and stuff, go to www.headphone.com and find it , HeadRoom Ultra Balanced Desktop Amp, d Ultra Balanced DAC, and the Desktop PSU, and d D7000 Balanced Edition. i get ah huge discount from dem since i took all dem things, i get maybe 900$ off,

Import d HTC HD2 from d UK, alyuh coudl google dat too.

Alot of money went into d rig, but when ah minus out d money ah make back from sellin old parts, din seem too bad. dies my emo, sell and upgrade before things get too old and outdated. and i dont like to make incremental upgrades, rather wait, save meh money, and make ah proper upgrade.

My last rig 3dMark vantage score was 10k, lol

Yeah, doubling score with an upgrade is a good mo.

I'll settle for 50% nowadays.

Going from 10k to 28k is almost tripling. VERY impressive.

At US$4000.00, that's a helluva upgrade.

Coulda swear I saw a ring on the wedding finger in those vids. How a man could afford a wife and a beast machine like this?

OK, time for my official post.

PLENTY TIME gone into these suckers, it take we forever to build it, we had actualy stop, cause d dam 5970 was not shipin, and we thought we woulda hit chirstmas wihtout ah GPU, we get demotivated and stop building machine. it really hurt, to spend all dat money, and see yuh parts pack up in ah corner, collectin dust, cuase no bleddddyyyyy GPU! by d time we realise we get d dam gpu, we hada hussle to finsih d machine, rel fart, lol. Coulda use more time to round off d edges, but i go do dat as time go on.

Also coulda do with more time to push d oc lil futher, but we go see.

Hard OC, i dont know why u feelin so proud of beatin my 2 year old machine, by a few hundread points, dat is what u callin mash up? rofl. u do dat just to shut me up, yuh build a new rig, to beat a 2 year old rig, by a few hundread points, rofl.  what i did arcman and asweom, DAT IS MASH UP, 5000+ point cutass.

and i did it, with d same generation of parts, i7 920s, 5000card, and x58 board. same generation competin. i OC my q67 more and beat yuh score yuh know, lol, but it is waste of time postin to beat ah man by ah few hundread. d rankings dont need to be updated dat often, when i lashin, i lashin hard, witha h 2*4, not ah twig :)

Ok ive moved my post from the vantage thread to here to reduce spamming there. I hope that's ok with you.

Lord, where the sore loosers thing come from? Still cant take some honest feedback?

I understand your preference in upgrade schedule but it is not the way i'd go for one reason.

You said it yourself, your games started crawling, granted that youre running a pretty high resolution but still.

For everyone their preference is different. For example, i present the following exhibit.

I had a q6600 with one 4870 in late 2008. Shortly after I graduated to my current 28" monitor (which cost $350us at the time btw)

At that res, games started to frame so early last year I graduated to i7 and enter the 2nd 4870. Pure bliss @ 19x12 (much cheaper than a single x2 for roughly the same performance, right? and what cpu am i gonna upgrade to?)

Late 2009 games started framing again (enter the 2 5850's, cheaper than 5970, roughly the same performance. Again, cpu upgrade to what?)

So as you can see, while your way makes sense to you, incremental upgrades make all the sense in the world to others and all the while, you've got a system that's always serving your high standard gaming habit, not tolerating a sub par gaming performance while waiting to do a ful upgrade.

On another note, also agreed at the amount of skill (and patience) it takes to tweak a machine to its full potential. The constand changing and modifying of settings on your particular hardware because each pieve of silicon is different. Believe me, I know, ive been doing it for years.

Our (read non 'waterers') performance ceiling, though, will be less than that of yours because of our cooling methods. While not as high as yours, its the maximim for these methods which, as you know is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper. Of course we wont be able to overclock to 4.3ghz and 1000/1300 and get 5k more points because i didnt pelt out $500us on cooling alone, just a measly $50 :)

yea , i already said in d vantage thread, it have no right and wrong with d upgrades, juss different ways of doing it.i prefer to drop my res and mellow mehself, till i can get a substantial gain from upgrading.

and awesome , i never say u are a sore loser, u handle yuh lix like ah man.

arcman is d sore loser, and hard oc vex, because he beat meh old score by 500 points, and i beat he new score by errrrr 28387-14530 err i went tranquil so i cyah count too good, but i think dat equals a 13,857 cutass. thank god for calc.exe :)

note: response to awesome:

yea, but like i said in my tips, its an investment, d 500i pelt out on cooling, was done about 3 years ago, i never pelt out dat much on cooling since, is ah lorn term investment, unit turst ppl unit turst, d green plan.
